I’m in my fitness era, and yesterday I tried Reformer Pilates for the first time - absolutely loved it. Today certain of my muscles are questioning my enthusiasm, and I’m having to actively avoid exclaiming “OUFF” each time I sit down, or “ughh ” as I stand up 🤪🤣 but it’s clearly working!

While making gravy to go with our roast chook I was surprised that the cornflour was creating a foam,…because it was actually baking powder 🤦🏻‍♀️ Managed to get half of it out before it dissolved into the gravy, and add cornflour to actually thicken the gravy 💁🏻‍♀️🤪

Surely one of the more hideous domestic tasks, our Smeg oven is now sparkling clean (lights are still fickle about working!). 14 year old oven, reckon it’s come up well!! …now need to do better at maintaining the cleanliness 🤔

Let me give you a very brief example. Boot camps.

The first round of boot camps cost $4.1 million for ten children.

That's $410,000 per child.

For that money, let's assume they lived in Palmerston North.

I could pick them up in Palmerston North in a limousine. I could drive them to Wellington Airport. I could fly them first class, Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific, to London.

In London, I could pick them up in another limousine, Rolls-Royce Wraith II if you must, and drive them to Windsor.

At Windsor, I could drop them off at Eton private school. I could pay for an entire year at Eton and give them $1,000 a week in spending money.

At the end of the year, I could pick them up in the limousine, fly them first class all the way back to Wellington, drive them home to Palmerston North, and then hand them a cheque for $125,000.

Have Tamarillos, Hubs will make a cocktail with them! Gin, triple sec, touch of sugar syrup and zapped Tamarillos (strained). Juicy deliciousness. The rest of the tamarillos I’ve used in a crumble with apple!

This is the correct approach to these issues. Parents need to be willing and able to have conversations with their kids about online stuff. Giving your kid an internet connection/game console/etc and assuming that's the end of your involvement does not work and changing laws doesn't absolve you.

How much does it cost nations to form policy and legislate social media bans? Hows about collectively making the tech bros do better - we know they know the harms, and how to change the algorithm and operation of the apps to do better. Make them do it! Not make laws to try to remedy…something 🤔

What the actual…. Uber has charged me for UberOne although I’ve never subscribed! Weirdly charged in Euros - did use Uber in France in May. At first the email made me question if it was a good scam, but on the app there it was! Managed to cancel and get refund… anyone else experienced this?!
