True story, when I wrote my first novel, I threw a book release party, and over a hundred people I knew IRL showed up and most of them bought a copy. A lot of them would tell me later that they loved it. When my second novel came out, I threw another party. Seven people showed.

Blood on the Clocktower is my absolute favorite game possibly ever. I just dig every nuance of the design, the incredible amount of characters and scripts to play. I wish I could play it with my friends every day.

The first night's show went extremely well, there was one minor sound issue that was corrected after a few minutes. And the second night went flawlessly. Long story short, the @asusrog.bsky.social Ally X saved our 300th episode live show. I will never think of it as "just a toy" again.

My sound engineer asked if there was another PC we could use, and I remembered I had my Ally X in a bag. With less than two hours before curtain, I installed PowerPoint, transferred the presentations, set up an app so it could be controlled via iPad and connected it to the projector and sound.

Our show required a massive PowerPoint that was half still images, half videos. We had set it up to be played from the theater's Chromebook. When we got there, however, the Chromebook wouldn't play the PowerPoint properly, whether using the cloud version or the one I had on an external hard drive.

I put high-and-low end PC games on it, emulation, even old DOS and Windows 98 games. But it was still just a toy. And I took it with us to Colorado for just that reason, to entertain me during the trip. We had gone to Colorado for our podcast's 300th episode. We were doing a live show at a theater.

I want to tell a story about a toy. Tech has always intrigued me. I enjoy buying devices and making them do things they were not built for. Turning old workstations into arcade/retro gaming machines, for example. When I bought an ASUS ROG Ally X, I never imagined what I would end up doing with it.

I'd say that portable Windows 98/95/3.1/DOS machine project is coming along nicely. There are some definite drawbacks to using the GPD Win 2 for this, but I'm still having fun.

The very end of the story campaign gave me a shock when I was allowed to choose the champion, so naturally I chose the funniest possible choice, Johnny Cage, and then proceeded to LMAO as a cavalcade of silly mashup MK characters lined up for an ass-beating. I loved it.

Tumblr post from dracofidus: If you EVER think Anthony Head is anything less than an angel then you'd best remember that I have always been a huge fan of his and we've always had a little contact over the years and he heard I'd come out as Trans and was having a hard time and that I was kind of sad that the photos I had from conventions with him were of me with long hair and no binder and they were all signed to "Sarah" and so he invited me to spend the day with him at his farm and he picked me up from the station and we just hung out and had lunch and he insisted on paying and look loads of photos and had them printed on photo paper the same day so he could sign them to Jay, along with other photos of him as Giles and Utger and he literally spent five hours chatting with me and got all the pronoun stuff right every time and then he dropped me off at the station, gave me a massive hug. Waved me through the ticket barrier and insisted I message him when I got home so he knew I was back safe.
