I'm almost there it's so pretty!! 😭 this is the first time I've made extensive use of complex numbers in shader code, which has been fun! it's an analytic 2D lighting system through piecewise conformal maps representing angular light/"sky" exposure, which means you get fully analytic penumbras!

a partially finished analytic 2D lighting solution, showing both the angular and radial component with a checkerboard pattern and color coding

This #Room is kinda tough. I've died to this boss five times already #pixelart #pixel_dailies @pixeldailies.bsky.social

Within a crystalline room a knightly figure challenges a powerful sorcerer. The scene is loosely based on the Crystal Tower dungeon from Final Fantasy III. The background appearance is inspired by The Legend of Zelda on the NES

Ditches: Dug through Witches: Burned through Dragula: Slammed in the back of #bat #pixelart #pixel_dailies @pixeldailies.bsky.social

A car made from a coffin. At the head side is a bubble cockpit. Flanking it is a pair of drag racing wheels. Moving down the coffin, in the middle is a pair of quad exhaust pipes bent upwards flanking a pair of air intakes (I'm not sure what the technical term is). Finally at the feet end is a pair of lanterns flanking a black headstone. Beside the lanterns are the front wheels which resemble bicycle wheels

I've been learning about feng shui from Dear Modern on youtube So far I've learned that as long as you don't see the birds and monkeys coming you're mostly fine #curtain #pixelart #pixel_dailies @pixeldailies.bsky.social

A bedroom. In the middle is a bed with two pillows flanked by a pair of nightstands, each carrying a lamp. At the foot of the bed is an empty set of shelves. In the bottom left is an open door, mirroring it in the bottom right is a dresser. Behind the headboard of the bed is a set of heavy curtains, the most important device used to keep birds and monkeys at bay

The scratchy wood texture, the generally dark colours, the splash of red highlighting the eyes. You've built the horror in this scene magnificently

I love the palette on this. it gives it a vellum/tea stained look that I think really compliments the medieval/fantasy vibe of the artwork

here’s how the rest of the #Eeveelutions react to bathtime… 🛁🫧✨

How Eevee and its evolutions (except Sylveon, as she was drawn in the post this one is quoting) react to being bathed. Pokemon, drawing description, and image text in brackets:

Vaporeon: wagging its tail happily in a shower cubicle (Needs no second bidding. Removing them from the shower is harder)

Jolteon: looking sidelong at the viewer with narrowed eyes (You know better than to shower an Electric type.)

Flareon: rolling contentedly in a sand pit (Fluffy fire type gets a sand bath instead!)

Eevee: being held in one hand, rinsed with the other, with big sad eyes and question marks (Too liddol to comprehend or rebel. Feeling a bit betrayed tbh)

Espeon: Peering out of a crack in a cupboard (Uses Psychic powers to choose best hiding spots until you give up)

Umbreon: Hissing wild eyed, clinging to shower curtains, with gloved hands attempting to reach (Acrobatics, unholy screeching, etc. Protective gear recommended)

Leafeon: sitting under the shower happily, eyes closed and tongue outstretched to catch the water (Calmest Eeveelution in the bath. Plant likes being watered!)

Glaceon: Standing somewhat tensely under the shower in silence (Tolerates it, but might be plotting revenge)
