So glad to have this new paper out now in the Journal of Urban Economics!🎉 We (@beccataylorecon.bsky.social, Lester Lusher, and myself) causally estimate how time scarcity impacts food consumption, finding that when traffic is heavy people are likely to stop for fast food. Paper summary thread ⏬🍔

Taught my last class of the semester today, and now already at the airport, off to San Diego to give a seminar at SDSU CHEPS. As I walked through security, I arrived right to the beginning of the airport’s annual holiday celebration. What a nice way to kick off this year’s final research period. ✈️❄️
