Etihad statement to commission was:
"The assertion that the Abu Dhabi government paid for Etihad's sponsorship of English Premier League football club Manchester City is ...false. In 2011, Etihad and Manchester City entered into a 10-year sponsorship agreement, which included naming rights for Manchester City's stadium. Etihad funded this sponsorship from its own liquidity”.

My favourite ever poem. #NationalPoetryDay
‘Warning’ by Jenny Joseph:

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple

With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.

And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves

And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I’m tired

And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells

And run my stick along the public railings

And make up for the sobriety of my youth.

I shall go out in my slippers in the rain

And pick flowers in other people’s gardens

And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat

And eat three pounds of sausages at a go

Or only bread and pickle for a week

And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry

And pay our rent and not swear in the street

And set a good example for the children.

We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practise a little now?

So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised

When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

The group temporarily took the sign down before filing their lawsuit. But once it put up the “8647” flag, in court filings members said they faced further scrutiny, including a visit by Secret Service agents asking if the flag was meant as a threat. According to filings, a volunteer with the group told the agents “I want Trump to live forever and rot in jail where he belongs,” after which the agents left.

Taylor's annoucement that the suspects would be released on bail with no further explanation was somewhat jarring in light of President Trump's comments to reporters on Sunday. An exuberant Trump said the suspects had intended to do "big damage" to the air base and praised the British police, describing their efforts as "fantastic" and
"amazing." He added: "We had them under view for a long time and we got them." Now the five men are going to be freed on bail, but with stringent conditions on their movement and contact with
others.

Give police space to investigate without speculating - CPT
CP Senior National Coordinator, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Vicki Evans Evans also addresses possible motives behind yesterday's incident, saying that officers investigating it should be given the space to "work carefully and clearly".
"I am very aware of the levels of speculation about the motivation behind this incident, and the geopolitical questions that are being raised," she says.
"However, I ask that at this time, Counter Terrorism Policing are given the space to work carefully and clearly."

‘Many Americans are sick of wading through the sludge and understandably want to look away. That is what Mr. Trump is counting on. He wins not by persuading us that the conduct is acceptable, but by wearing us out until we no longer object.’ Gift link. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/19/o...
Examples are far too many to enumerate, but recall just a few: Mr. Trump described his political opponents as "vermin" and said immigrants were
"poisoning the blood of our country." When Robert Mueller died in March, Mr. Trump posted that he was "glad he's dead." When Rob Reiner and his wife were murdered in their home, he blamed the killings on Mr. Reiner's criticism of him. He courted and excused political violence — winking at threats against officials who crossed him, joking about the near-fatal attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband, and praising and then pardoning Jan. 6 rioters. He revels in bullying, cruelty and hate as no president ever has. Beneath it all is the normalization of lying on an industrial scale: tens of thousands of documented false claims as president, including false accusations against Americans and false representations to courts.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump At the strong request of the United States Military, and for National Security purposes, I have agreed to convert the magnificent Triumphal Arch, planned since the Civil War Era many years ago, at the Receptive Circle adjoining the Arlington Memorial Bridge, into a top grade Military Complex/Triumphal Arch, to house, store, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus Snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage. There will be no facility like this anywhere in the World. Out of the 59 top cities and Capitals, Washington, D.C., IS THE ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD THAT DOES NOT HAVE A TRIUMPHAL ARCH, but it will now and, by far, the greatest of them all! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

More significantly, consider X, a foreign-owned website intentionally and actively spewing hate and misinformation into the UK. Its owner openly interferes in elections outside the US and has skewed the site's algorithm to promote his own far-right political views. Elon Musk stirs up agitation against migrants and posts about civil war coming to the UK. Were he Russian, his site would be barred. As an American, he is not deemed a hostile state actor. He is not even treated as a full publisher, responsible for content. The UK will block a foreign takeover of a newspaper, yet it watches helplessly while a plutocrat enjoying the protection of a foreign government openly seeks to destabilise the country.

The official calls for persecution of Abraham and Szor, who previously made the Oscar-winning documentary "No Other Land" with two Palestinian filmmakers, seem strategically unwise, since they're spurring heightened interest in "NAZA." A press screening I went to on Wednesday, at New York's 268-seat Walter Reade Theater, was at capacity, and I was told to arrive a half-hour early to get a seat. This is, in my experience, very unusual for documentaries of any sort, even those that, like "NAZA," win a Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.
After seeing it, I can understand why Israel finds it so threatening. Its subjects described factory-scale targeting, enabled by artificial intelligence, in which little effort was made to avoid enormous numbers of civilian casualties. "The goal was quantity, not quality," said one of the speakers. According to the sources in the film, the military chose to target members of Hamas, some low-level, at home at night rather than when they were out during the day because it was easier, even though it meant killing their families and neighbors. One man told of hacking into the phone of a 12-year- old girl to learn when her father arrived home, and then ordering a bombing in which she was killed.

A convicted criminal pardoned by a convicted criminal. Reform really loves dodgy donors. And *will* move back? So he hasn’t 🙄 ‘Reform receives record £36m donation from crypto billionaire’ www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Delo said he was donating £1m a month between now and the latest date Labour could call a general election in 2029 - but that he would give all the money up front in case the government tried to limit mega-donations in future.
There are currently no restrictions on the amount of money UK-
based donors can give to political parties.
But Labour previously introduced a £100,000 cap on donations from British citizens who are living overseas or have recently returned to the UK.
Sheffield-born Delo, who has already donated £4m to Reform, has previously said he will move back to the UK from Hong Kong to continue his backing for the party.
Last year, Delo was given an unconditional pardon by US President Donald Trump over a breach of anti-money laundering laws at his crypto trading platform, BitMEX, to which he had pleaded guilty in 2022.

"Yesterday, as Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband delivered his speech about Israel, I was in the Palestinian village of Umm al Kheir. I saw the results of settler violence with my own eyes.
I share the concerns of many Anglo-Jewish leaders. I want to know that the government will be tough on antisemitism and that it will push back against the ill- intentioned who will exploit the statement to justify their demonisation of the State of Israel. I want to see ongoing proof that the British Government really means that it is opposed to BDS and the academic boycott and that it will be frank about the hate-driven brutality of Hamas, Hezbollah and the leaders of Iran.
I think of Israel as my family. I'm committed. I care deeply. But are we, who love Israel, who feel for the people here as for our family, who are deeply connected and deeply care, are we supposed to say nothing?
What is taking place today in the West Bank is a Chillul HaShem, a violation of God's name of the worst order. We cannot stay silent. This is terrible for Palestinian people who want to get on with their lives in peace. It is terrible for Israel. It desecrates the millennia-old good name of the Jewish People. It prepares the way for more and yet more conflict, suffering and grief, God forbid.
We must speak out. We must do so out of deep concern for what is human and just, and for the sake of Israel and Judaism. We cannot turn away.
It is possible to care deeply for our fellow Jews in Israel, be concerned for our own safety as Jews in the UK and believe that it is right that the UK government and allies take action to safeguard the lives of both Israelis and Palestinians.
We do not all have to agree with everything that the British government chooses to do, but the time is for action. My plea is: 'Be on the side of healing.' We need healing forour fellow Jews and for our neighbours, for our shared humanity, for Hatikvah, hope."

REFORM'S COVER STORY COLLAPSES LIVE ON AIR.
Lee Anderson said James Orr and Dan Jukes had "left the building" and there was "no chance" of them coming back.
Later, Richard Tice contradicted him, saying it was "not for any individual to make that determination" while the investigation was still ongoing.
Anderson also spoke of a "full investigation today", then admitted on live TV that it had not even started and nobody had yet been chosen to lead it.

From @dtathletic.bsky.social book ’This Is The One’.
In the relative sanctuary of the pressbox some of our number could be forgiven if they were struggling to concentrate on the football. Jonathan Northcroft of the Sunday Times and James Fletcher of the News of the World were trapped on the Ponte Nenni, one of the
'no-go areas, when thirty Italian youths carrying flares and broken bottles advanced on three Irish lads before the game. Northcroft managed to break free but Fletcher tried to run away; thirty yards later, sprinting at full pelt, he was intercepted by a fist. Jim Clarke, a photographer for the Sun, was kicked to the ground close by and £4,000 worth of camera equipment was whipped from his neck.
The trouble is so extreme it dominates the news agenda. United's fans have been attacked with knives, bricks, bottles, coshes, catapults, an axe and even a stepladder. Yet the Ultras, it seems to us, have rivals to the title of the most formidable firm in Rome. The police (carabinieri) may not have such an extensive weapon collection but they also have their own set of rules and, of course, they have the law on their side. At the end of the first half Roma take the lead and their supporters rush towards the divide segregating the away end. A small group of United fans react and the carabinieri charge, lashing out indiscriminately with their batons, hitting anything that moves, battering limbs and heads. Anyone within range is struck. Some fans try to make gestures of peace and are beaten tothe ground. A few are trapped and go down under a flurry of baton strikes. Others turn to flee and the police swarm after them.
The reaction is so savagely over the top the television cameras and photographic lenses are trained on what is happening in the stands rather than on the pitch. Supporters with nowhere to escape can be seen in a state of blind panic. One guy, in his fifties, is curled up in the foetal position, trying to cover his head and pleading for mercy as the blows rain down.
His watch is smashed, hanging limply off his wrist, and he is shaking with fear. The television pictures zoom in on a middle-aged man, with a camera round his neck, and there is blood gushing from his fore-head. A younger adult, possibly his son, is trying to pull him away and one of the riot cops, decked out in black Robocop gear, is swinging at them with his baton. A woman in her twenties is filming what is happening and one of the police officers snatches the camera from her hand. She goes after him to protest and his colleagues wade in, hitting out violently with their fists and their truncheons.
Many of us have friends and relatives in the away end and it is unnerving watching it all unfold, feeling utterly helpless from a comfortable seat 100 yards away. What begins five minutes before half-time lasts until the opening exchanges of the second half and it feels like the carabinieri are enjoying themselves so

Written by Louis D Brandeis in 1890, *136 years ago*. He can fairly be described as a man far, far ahead of his time. law.louisville.edu/lawlibrary/s...
Recent inventions and business methods call attention to the next step which must be taken for the protection of the person, and for securing to the individual what Judge Cooley calls the right "to be let alone." [10] Instantaneous photographs and newspaper enterprise have invaded the sacred precincts of private and domestic life; and numerous mechanical devices threaten to make good the prediction that "what is whispered in the closet shall be proclaimed from the house-tops." For years there has been a feeling that the law must afford some remedy for the unauthorized circulation of portraits of private persons; [11] and the evil of the invasion of privacy by the newspapers, long keenly felt, has been but recently discussed by an able writer. [12] The alleged facts of a somewhat notorious case brought before an inferior tribunal in New York a few months ago, [13] directly involved the consideration of the right of circulating portraits; and the question whether our law will recognize and protect the right to privacy in this and in other respects must soon come before our courts for consideration.

@nathancofnas Ashkenazi IQ is around 110-112 (sorry, J IQ truthers), but Jewish success goes far beyond what can be explained by IQ alone. It does not follow that Jewish intellectual accomplishment is an illusion or due to nepotism. This is an important point that race realists need to understand.
Jews (particularly Ashkenazim) were subject to evolutionary selection pressures—presumably the ability to succeed in white-collar professions and/or Talmudic study—that favored higher general intelligence (g). The same selection pressures would have favored non-g traits and abilities that contribute to success in business or scholarship. Some of these traits and abilities may not be measured by IQ tests.
There are obviously personality differences between Jews and
non-Jews. Jews are stereotyped as being, for example, "shrewd," and we know that stereotypes generally have a basis in reality. On average, Jews are better than gentiles at capitalizing on their g. It's not a coincidence that Chris Langan (loser with IQ 200) is a gentile and Stephen Jay Gould (dazzling "genius" with IQ 125) is a Jew.
We see a similar phenomenon with East Asians. A Korean American with an IQ of 105 is way more likely to graduate from college, get a white-collar job, and make a lot of money than his non-Asian/non-Jewish IQ equal. That's not because Koreans are cheaters, but because Korean IQ 105 is different from British IQ 105. link.springer.com/article/10.100..

The government alleges that the Tates are a risk of flight based on their social media claims that they are "self-proclaimed billionaires" who own "high-end vehicles, private jets, and a custom $50-million-dollar superyacht and have unrestricted access to traditional funds, cryptocurrency, and bitcoin." DE#37, p. 11. To support this, the government points to the theatrical social media where the Tates boast about owning luxury goods. Id. But the government has not established these grandiose claims are true. Once again, the government provides speculation, but offers no evidence of ownership, only videos, podcast boasts, and a market-capitalization figure for a meme coin. DE#37, p. 12-14.
A promotional video filmed aboard a yacht is not evidence of title to the yacht. DE#11, p. 24. As set forth in the Motion, the "superyacht" does not belong to the Tates. They received payment to promote the ship on social media. Further, the Tates are engaged in several businesses "teaching" men how to earn money. It is in their interest to portray themselves on social media as uber- wealthy. For example, the $2.1 million Aston Martin and $5 and $7 million Bugattis featured in Tristan's videos were rented. The valuation of Andrew's watch collection is based on a third-party enthusiast publication. DE#37, p. 13. As to the government's assertion about Andrew's meme coin, the valuation does not equal Andrew's actual holdings. Quiz question. How many lakes are there in the Lake District? If you definitively know, wait a while. If you’re guessing, put your answer below. *No Googling or looking at maps!! If you do, I will know because I am the All Seeing Eye.*
The Eye of Providence or All-Seeing Eye.

On Friday 14 August, Reform UK's Nadhim Zahawi appeared as a guest on ITV's Good Morning Britain. Discussing the Clacton by-
election result, host Kate Garraway said, "9,455 people wanted Count Binface". Mr Zahawi replied:
"Yeah and he got, by the way, he got I think £180,000 from Dale Vince, who is a big Labour supporter. He got activists from the Conservative Party and from Labour going out to try and knock on doors for him."
This is untrue. Dale Vince has never donated any money to me, and at no point have I asked activists from any other party to knock on doors for me. If anyone did so, it was not at my direction and was of their
own volition. I'm sure Mr Zahawi will want to correct the
record at his earliest convenience.
Cheers,
CB
