What is tiny but has a PLANET-sized influence? Sphagnum of course. A 🧵 on why this moss matters more than ever. Holding more than 20× its dry weight in water, halting decay, shaping entire ecosystems, thwarting fire. Never underestimate a moss. 1/

Using GRI's Regan’s ‘Showroom’ paludiculture farm in Co. Offaly as a backdrop, MOUKA Designs has unveiled a clothing line crafted from 100% Irish linen and Ponda Biopuff, a sustainable insulation fiber made from bulrush. Such an unique and innnovative project! #EUinmyregion

Palus Demos is delighted to join WSocial! We're to exchange knowledge about #paludiculture - the productive use of wet and rewetted #peatlands that preserves peat soil and minimises CO2 emissions and subsidence - on our three large scale demo sites #HorizonEU Find out more at www.palusdemos.org
