Oh my god. I just identified my first ever case of gender envy. I had no CONCEPT for it, I couldn't have been any older than 5 or 6! But I wanted SO bad to be Sophie from The BFG (1989). I wanted her DRESS. When we played, I had to be the BFG while my sister was Sophie, and I remember feeling weird!
