#fakemon #pokemon #pokemonart #art #fossils Afstraya's unique landscape makes it difficult to find intact fossils. But earlier fossils can be revived easily! Revived from a Blunt Fossil is Kerakalf, the Blunt Nose Pokémon. A Rock Type! Credit to @paleonyx.bsky.social for this amazing lil guy!

-Leptoceratops gracilis- I know most small ceratopsians like thise are depicted with quills, but I wanted this guy to have a stocky vibe so I went with thick armour scutes for a more unique look. Just a stocky, bad tempered little bugger ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Aquilolamna milarcae- This one was tough, since we only have one specimen and it's top down position makes accurately drawing one difficult. But mine ended up being a weird mix of manta ray, whale shark, and megamouth shark ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Hybodus reticulatus- I don't draw sharks or fish often, but I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. I know real hybodus females had no horns at all, but I gave her some tiny nubs anyway just for aesthetics (accuracy purists forgive me) ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Deinonychus antirrhopus- Thanks to several paleomedia appearances, Deinonychus just has to be blue imo. But I also wanted mine to feel distinct, and I'm really happy with the result. This might be my favourite design so far ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Tapejara wellnhoferi- Tropical little frugivores with colours inspired by toucans/ hornbills. I even gave them the ridges on the beak that toucans have. They also have a slightly speculative crest shape to reference older Tapejara depictions ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Tylosaurus proriger- I was kinda tired of blueish-grey countershaded mosasaurs, so I gave mine some intricate patterns inspired by tree monitors and perenties. The females are also larger and bulkier, as seen in modern snakes ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Stegosaurus stenops- I wanted my stego to have a sort of floral garden vibe. Lots of varied greens and some sunny amber plates, or green flower buds in the case of the female. The streak on the side of the body is also inspired by anteaters ♥️🔁 Are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Compsognathus longipes- Compys are tiny little scavengers and bug hunters that travel in groups. Their long fuzzy tails are used in communication with the flock, and they constantly vocalise so no one strays too far or gets lost ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Gallimimus bullatus- Gallis are fast, mostly herbivorous theropods that live in small flocks. But don't be fooled by their fancy plumage and skittish nature. Strong legs and sharp claws allow for disembowling slashes and bone shattering kicks ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Dryosaurus altus- A predators bane, and living alarm system. Dryosaurus possess colour changing chromatophores in their tail that change depending on their mood. Herbivores know what these colours mean and react accordingly, so a nervous Dryo means a nervous herd ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Ceratosaurus nasicornis- Ceratosaurus isn't the biggest or fastest carnivore. But the use of aposematism and a viscious temperament means most threats will leave it alone. This and an opportunistic, partially semi-aquatic, lifestyle allows ceratosaurus to thrive ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

InGen’s Mamenchisaurs, likely due to splicing with Seismosaurus, resemble diplodocids. And the young are similarly more selective when feeding, going for more nutritious plants to help with speedy growth. #jurassicpark
A what-if depiction of a baby Mamenchisaurus based on the design from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. A size comparison between an adult animal and the average adult man is also included. A closeup of the baby Mamenchisaur's head and neck. A closeup of the baby Mamenchisaur's body and legs. A closeup of the size comparison between the adult & baby Mamenchisaurs as well as a human man.

-Lambeosaurus lambei- Elegant and ornate, Lambeosaurus is the fastest and most skittish hadrosaur. unlike it's herdmates, they tend to move bipedally more often, giving them a higher vantage point to watch for threats ♥️🔁 Are incredibly appreciated ^^

-Corythosaurus casuarius- Unlike its herdmates, Corythosaurus is bulky, sluggish, and more inclined to fight than flee. Mock charging attackers with loud abrasive trumpets and bellows, and kicking with powerful forelimbs ❤🔄 are incredibly appreciated ^^

Hey all! 👋 To introduce myself for any newcomers, I'm a primarily digital artist with an interest in paleontology. I draw a lot of dinosaurs, as well as some creature art and fanart (particularly Jurassic Park).
A traditional drawing showing a bust of the megalosaur Wiehenvenator albati. Fakemon designs based on Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors. A picture of the various T. rex designs from the indie video game Saurian hanging out together. Cheers!Drawings loosely based on the Alamosaurus from the game Jurassic World Evolution 2.

After 16 months and 103 layers it's finally finished... "A Portrait of Dilophosaurus" #Art #Palaeoart
A portrait of the carnivorous dinosaur Dilophosaurus. It's shown side-on, turning to its left to bring its face into view. Its colours are a mix of muted reds and pinkish creams, with notable darker red stripes on the neck. The famous twin crests atop its skull are mostly covered by large air-filled structures, with an almost balloon-like appearance, while the edges of the bones crest are tipped by rows of rounded keratinous spikes. A series of stripes quills stick up from the top of the neck, while the lower areas of the neck show a series of prominent skin folds. Its eyes are a piercing orange, and stand out against the more muted body colours. The background is a textured dark reddish-grey.
