Since getting the new team of artists for Ribbit 3.0, progress has never looked better

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 13/03/2026

probably not gonna be using this place as a "home base" or anything but will be hanging around still on the hunt for a platform that isn't dogshit, will probably just bite the bullet and just make my own website at some point but in the meantime will just be bouncing between platforms atm

oh shit hey dude yeah, i never really cared to play it (for obvious reasons) but as soon as i saw it i also got the vibe that it was preeetty similar to vc ch 6. i have very anarchic opinions when it comes to idea ownership but its p obvious they just tried to speedrun making a "vc ch6" for clout

i'm also considering trying out newgrounds as my new "home base" since it seems pretty relaxed, it's got good people running it and it supports all forms of creative work i dabble with (artwork, music, games and animation) go check me out there if you'd like paledoptera.newgrounds.com

i'm seeing less and less engagement on this site and more and more right wing idiots joining. the bluesky team are actively bending the rules of their own site to platform and defend pathetic neonazis, and even people making relatively harmless comments about them are being heavily suppressed

140

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 14/10/2025

twitter breaks often and adds features no-one wants, bluesky doesn't even have the courtesy of adding any features twitter's algorithm constantly shows you hateful content, bluesky's algorithm shows you pages of content that you don't care about and then might randomly show you untagged diaper porn

140

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 14/10/2025

but as time goes on it becomes clearer to me that bluesky isn't really that breathe of fresh air, just the same shit in a different toilet twitter has a bumbling buffoon right wing ceo, bluesky has a bumbling buffoon right wing ceo twitter censors LGBT content, bluesky censors LGBT content

150

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 14/10/2025

when everyone (including me) jumped over from twitter, bluesky felt like a breathe of fresh air. sure, it wasn't PERFECT (with the site missing crucial features and with common outages) but it was a vast improvement over twitter's hate-driven algorithms, arbitrary bans and blatant censorship

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

hi, the post is still down. can you look into this? it's still visible on clearsky apparently bsky.app/profile/bede...

who would use an undertale-themed web forum? just curious

28893

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

it just seems very suspicious that this post specifically gets affected and immediately de-listed when i could post like normal literally seconds later

110

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

so what's the technical reason for specifically this post being affected when none of my other posts from the last 12 hours have been affected, including several with images

120

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

ok butterfly app was fun but blatant censorship of criticism is not fun where we all hoppin next, newgrounds?

280

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

i dunno what got MY post hidden, whether it was asking for other socialmedia site recommendations or just saying "pathetic knee-oh-nat-see" but it is complete bullshit eitherway this is really fucked and i encourage people to start looking for alternatives to bsky

190

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

i've seen other people complaining about their posts being deleted or shadowbanned, most notable example being @hausofdecline.bsky.social i've also heard a lot of people who got suspended for saying ANYTHING about charlie kirk when he was murdered, though citation needed on that

170

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

the heritage foundation (authors of project 2025 and big ties to the trump administration) recently opened a bsky account and apparently a member of the bsky moderation is following them, as well as being listed as involved with the organization on wikipedia

170

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

further context: jay, the ceo of bsky, has been facing backlash lately after a lot of really stupid choices by the moderation team (allowing large republican figures to stay on the platform and iirc censoring trans people) she "responded" to the criticism by posting waffle pictures /srs

so allegedly bluesky is preventing people from seeing their own posts asking for alternative websites? uh??????

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

added context for those who cant see it

1130

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

yea no even switching to private windows or different browsers shows up like this

010

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

can you post a link to it in the replies here?

110

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

i had no connection problems as the screenshots posted fine seconds later i got no message or warning that my post was removed for violating any guidelines just poof, gone

030

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

right, yeah. so this actually was removed as soon as i posted it. this is where that post should be on my profile

161

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

idk how because it actually straight up got deleted it isn't here

130

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

is there any socialmedia site that isnt a) run by pathetic neonazis b) extremely niche and only used by like 12 people

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

in the early days i forgave the wonky algorithm, the lack of engagement and the lack of features because "hey! at least its a place that isnt run by nazis that wont tolerate my existence!" that was the ONE thing this site had going for it for fucks sake. that was its ONE advantage

really awesome that there's legit just no online safe space for trans people en masse. it feels like every single time one is *about* to be, the mod team bends over backwards to protect the people who hate us and something fucking stupid like this happens

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

i think the logical conclusion of this is a boss you fight on every route but has a "hard mode" fight if you're doing the shadow crystal quest (and/or snowgrave since it seems related) you know how deltarune's secret bosses are like "missed" undertale fights? my vote's on it being asgore

000

Paledoptera 🦋 @paledoptera.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

its interesting how the deltarune secret bosses are getting more and more intertwined with the main story - ch1: easily missable sidequest - ch2: missable sidequest, but also has a mandatory fight - ch3: mandatory "unwinnable" fight with huge plot importance - ch4: straight up a main character
