Of all the Vulf Universe pianists, Theo's parts are the easiest to play. He uses very playable voicings to navigate some nice chord changes. In fact, trying to make his piano songs "pianistic" or "sophisticated" kind of ruins them. His parts are pretty much perfect in terms of serving the song.

_The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T_ had a fleeting mention in @ethaniversonpiano.bsky.social's news blast today. I had never heard of it. After watching it, I can confidently say that it is obviously the greatest film in cinema history. I don't know why you all have been hiding it from me my entire life.

My favorite part of _Neil Peart: No Man's Disciple_ is Danny Carey and Chad Smith talking back to back (and with good humor) about how much harder it is to drum at 64 than at 30. Smith describes backstage after an RHCP show as looking like "an infirmary".

Trivia: The script doesn’t actually start with the shofar blast (usually played in a trumpet) and “Prepare Ye”. It starts with a song that almost all productions (and soundtrack recordings) omit called “Tower of Babel”.

In a way, yeah, definitely. One difference is TMBG had more cred than Al. Al was seen as a good act, but he was a novelty act. TMBG were funny, but they were making serious art. College radio DJs could be TMBG fans in the 1990s and maintain their indie cred. The same wasn't true for Weird Al stans.

They were impossibly huge for college nerds in the 1990s. Every nerd party *had* to have "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" play at some point. It was the law. By the 2000s, they were not as prominent but all those 1990s college nerds became creative professionals. And TMBG never lost their nerd cred.

Not sure if this is the main reason, but for me at least, the outer layer tastes like nothing and has a dry and unpleasant texture. It’s also visually less appealing than the brighter interior.
