I think a little creative truthing might be a solution. Something like, "I don't know what's going on but I've recently started getting horrific migraines from the strangest of triggers, even scents! Weird!" It sends the message and doesn't make her feel bad about past gifts. My two cents🤷‍♂️

Today I ran 20 miles (32 km)! My right knee has been bugging me forever, so I'm taking this as a victory. Marathon in a few weeks! 🫨

It's a screenshot showing that I ran 20 mi. My average heart rate was 141 beats per minute, my average pace was 9 minutes and 34 seconds per mile. My total time was 3 hours, 11 minutes and 32 seconds that I will never get back no matter how I try. I burned 2,347 calories but I gained them all back when I came home and drank beer.
