I see a lot of posts about #cycling in Oxford, and how it’s so different to outer Oxfordshire (esp from @emilykerr36.bsky.social). Went to the East Oxford market earlier - knew it would be a hit when I saw the overspill of bikes there. Made me think it can happen. Even in #didcot #cyclinglife

I’ve still got my Boardman Team Carbon. It must be easily 12 plus years old now, I couldn’t bare to sell or scrap it as it’s been so many places with me and done so much. It’s on the wall now. Best bike I ever owned and I love it still 💛 (agree ignore the snobbery)

The two shades of #cycling in #Oxford. Absolute joy seeing parents & children use the plain for cycling now a lot of the cars have gone. Absolute pain further down as too many cars. The sooner we free these link roads up the better. Thank god it’s finally being discussed. #activetravel

For 17 months I’ve tried (and failed) to get #pavementparking addressed in #Didcot. I’ve spoken to and emailed Councillors at OCC and DTC. I’ve spoken to TVP and through it all, bar one or two there is simply no interest in sorting it out and making our pavements safe.

Further years of misery for #Didcot ahead - we have #2lanecampaign Labour, further paralysis with Snowdon or reform. It’s probably not surprising that we are in such a state with #pavementparking, complete lack of #activetravel measures and a gridlocked town with more cars coming.

Has anyone reported a #closepass in #Oxford or #Oxfordshire lately? It would appear #TVP have changed the portal and no longer recognise a “cyclist” as the victim. Further the offence of close pass has been removed? Has anyone else experienced this lately? #cyclinglife #activetravel

Today witnessed #TVP taking electric scooters and bikes from being locked up in #Reading and confiscated. Whilst illegal electric bikes needs to be sorted, imagine if #cycling had this level of support on the roads from #TVPRP? Priorities though. #activetravel #cyclinglife

After hearing that #tvprp are catching the real criminals now for #cycling with no lights, I gave in. Feedback from a member of the public - “f*** me that’s bright, you need to dim that or turn it off”. Let’s hope for the same reaction with cars. #cyclinglife
