Sure, just thinking that the best case scenario for M under Whitt is probably a little bit of an outlier positive season in year two vs. looking at long term program development, and that a decent number of the coaches on your list saw that kind of a bump.

Interesting that 8 (if I counted right) had a better year 2 than the 3-7 average. I think that's the best-case timeline for M with Whitt, for whom the old coach slide into senescence is the biggest worry. Year 3 Bryce, maturing roster, expected coach continuity before good assistants move up or out.

I do wonder how much the “user friendly” reputation of this offense is based on the fact that Mendoza was actually really good. Year before that kid from OU was good, but they weren’t really a set the world on fire offense. Hoover is pretty good but probably not a high level pro prospect.

I’ve been doing four miles of “we’re walking not sniffing” in the morning, a couple of mid-day mile or so “let’s use your nose” walk sessions and an evening “please stop I’m so tired” sessions that are admittedly not as focused as they could be.
