Rotating Wind Turbine Against Blue Sky

Can someone please explain to me why having your own wind turbine to power your house, is so expensive to build, takes so long to pay for itself, requires a lot of maintenance that it doesn’t even equate as a viable source of power. Meanwhile there are wind turbines every where supplying the grid

Beautiful places in peebleshire, in and around Biggar. Quite easy to get to Edinburgh or Glasgow or if going south of the border. We are up in Royal Deeside, not far from Ballater So 3 and a bit hours to Edinburgh, hour to Aberdeen

Also got a physio appointment for next Tuesday. Equally epic. This wouldn’t be possible in a busy town or city and certainly not in England

I love living in the rural Scottish Highlands. Today i had to try and get a doctors appointment. I phoned the surgery at 8am the phone was answered and they booked me in to see the doctor at 9am. I saw the doctor at 9, picked up a prescription went to the chemist, dispensed and home by 10. Epic

Heathers out up on the Grouse Moor. They haven’t shot in many years, but the estate still gently manages the ecosystem.

At the ripe old age of 50, I’ve started having a night cap before bed. Either a double single malt or a glass of port. What’s your tipple?

There is no point having police officers if the cps keep throwing cases out due to overcrowding. Build more prisons, stop the cps being lenient, back the police so they can get results and start locking criminals up.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... So essentially muirburn, it’s been happening for over 60000 years as an effective tool to reduce the risk of large wildfires. Yet stereotypically in the uk it’s viewed as habitat destruction for the benefit of the landed gentry and grouse shooting. WAKE UP

Let alone hearing the place. The government are going to waste that money on admin middle management bullshit. I could have invested that money in builders, tradesmen and materials in my local community. I earn 31000. I can’t save money to renovate as all the tax and bills are killing me. 3/3 🤬

And pay the mortgage. Finally managed to sell property, pay people back, pay mortgage off and buy a house in Scotland with some money left over to modestly renovate and install biomass central heating. Now have to pay in January £58000 capital gains tax which leaves about £14000 for the 2/3

I’m fed up with tax in this country. I’m livid. Having worked all hours to run a farm and butchers shop, paid taxes, paye, pension contributions, exorbitant energy bills, gave myself a breakdown and severe depression, liquidated the butchers and sold off assets, worked on other farms to survive 1/3

Fixing Aboyne bridge would be helpful!

Eventually made it to a corridor for a couple more hours before finally getting seen. Ovarian cyst the size of a football, she was told that would be incredibly painful! Waited for a bed to free up then admitted for emergency surgery. Couldn’t fault the staff when actually seen. (2/2)

111 recommended phoning 999 for an ambulance. After 3 hours phoned again for an update, told it would be 9 hrs wait! So drove 1 hr to Aberdeen. There is a sign in an and e saying should be in and out in 4 hours. We waited 17 hours, they did give her morphine for the pain which wasn’t working! (1/2)

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... This is truly horrific and abhorrent crime. The life sentence that has been handed down doesn’t seem strong enough. I take some heart that the offender will probably suffer a painful death in prison due to the crimes and abuse he committed.

Easily answers! 1. It’s not just Starmer, it’s hatred for whoever is in power. We’ve all just woken up to the fact that politicians are making it up as they are going along. The country is a shambles and too broke to fix. 2. Tory MP’s are happy with Kemi, as no one would want the job

How easy people forget, especially if they weren’t affected directly by the loss of a relative or close friend. The unity and kindness that came about from lock down has more than disappeared and people have reverted to pre pandemic selfishness. It saddens me greatly

It took ages to process what had happened, grieving was incredibly difficult and I struggle to live with the fact that he died on his own in hospital, basically by not being able to breathe. What really hit home was the death toll stats. I knew that on one particular day he was one of 1300 people

Thank you. Dad is on the memorial wall. He passed away alone in hospital early on in the pandemic in April 2020. Only 9 people could attend the funeral. Different households had to drive themselves. Mum had to drive herself on her own. I took the day off and went back to work in our butcher’s shop
