Headed to Harwich for this mornings #parkrun It’s Banger World Final day so we needed to be close to Ipswich so used it as an excuse to get another PIED Nice and flat, my 2nd quickest PR this year.

Our club coach paced at Harlow today. 22 mins and finished 22nd… we’ve suggested he should buy a lottery ticket 🤣

Forgot to post about last weeks #parkrun Family needed a D for their alphabet so we headed to Dartford for a very enjoyable trot round. Quite a bit of single track and a small hill that managed to feel like a mountain on the 2nd lap.

Touring is so enjoyable I was supposed to be touring in Germany with a friend from Poland in the summer but I quit my job so couldn’t make it work. Every year is say I’ll do more touring but never get round it. Audax always seems to come first. Are you already planning next year ?

Wow what an adventure. We (Audax club Mid Essex) did our biennial ACME goes Dutch last weekend. Covered nearly 500km in 4 days…. I was the only one that slipped out for a parkrun. I’m very jealous of your trip….. one day

It was flat, 2 years ago I did Sonsbeek and that definitely wasn’t flat!! Not sure how I’m gonna keep the bags clean, last weekend wa the first use and they seem ok. It’s xpac so should be cleanable

This mornings #parkrun was the far less glamorous Bas-vegas (Basildon). I wasn’t expecting much, knowing Basildon, but I was pleasantly suprised with how nice the course was. Marshals were lovely. Sadly the dentist after wasn’t 💸💸💸💸

Last weekend I #parkrun in the Netherlands while cycle touring with ACME. It Was a lovely course, run by a lot of ex-Pats. Only 43 runners so I managed my highest ever finish of 22nd 🤣🤣

Good run at Kingston #parkrun this morning. Ticked off a few boxes. Got me my first K Got me a 777 event for my Nelson Another run towards LonDone My 50th location. Not a quick run for me, but a lovely event. Really like the course and fab Marshall’s as always.

🤣🤣 I’m too distracted, I’m working on my alphabet, LonDone, Pied, King of Herts, plus all the other ones on the 5Km app. But there is no rush.

Great challenge. Good luck. It was so dry yesterday I ran in rode shoes, I was told they didn’t run for a few months at the start of the year because that course was so water logged… hard to believe now!

Good luck, it’s flat and fast, and not as confusing as I thought it would be, but it’s still a lot of laps!!! Also all on grass.

Egham Orbit #parkrun yesterday to get our E with a few other club members. A fairly confusing course, 3 laps, 3 laps, and almost 2. 😳 Ran well, but not well enough, my daughter beat me fair and square for the first time I’m very proud A full list of excuses is available if you have a spare 3hours.

I’ve been suffering for a while, the 2-3 lower docs (L4,L5 and S1) are squished (you can see in the pic they are much narrower than the others) and slightly bulging. Physio can’t really do any more, so next stage is referral to a consultant and probably a steroid injection 😬

A trip to Harrow Lodge #parkrun yesterday after dropping our daughter off nearby for a scout camp. A nice one lap course on mixed terrain, but it was very warm, and my back wasn’t happy. Although since having the mri and finding why I’m more tolerant to the pain.

More tourism this morning. I should have been in Port Talbot for a lay over on a 1000km bike ride, but my back isn’t up to it, so rather than waste the hotel and time off decided to have a cheeky weekend in S. Wales. Swansea Bay #parkrun was stunning, but very hot and congested, over 700 runners

The Methodist church looks after all the equipment and puts on tea and coffee (for £1) after, and the map is stored there. Considering it’s one of the few Q’s in the country there is a lot of tourists 🤣
