Just got this reply and for the record, I didn’t call the cops because the person was clearly no threat, they were scared and confused and at the wrong house. Police would’ve been a needless escalation with possibly terrible consequences

G made an amazing dinner: French onion hot dogs! A grilled sausage on a bun with dijonnaise, topped with caramelized onions, melted Gruyère cheese and toasted bread crumbs. So rich and SO good.

Great mail day, this Mosaic set I’ve been anxiously awaiting finally arrived! I already have most of the music but a lot is dodgy old CDs with bad sound quality. Mosaic does such a great job with sound restoration and documentation. And the liner notes are a hardcover book!!

Puy lentil and eggplant stew from Ottolenghi! This was really good. His “many small plates” approach isn’t a good fit for me (I just don’t want to make several dishes on a weeknight) but his flavors are so good, it’s nice to find a main that can be eaten alone
