I took this class recently and I can’t recommend it enough. Jay is a wonderful teacher. I experienced a real childlike joy, entranced and giddy, while forming these little guys.

I am still coming down from the white-hot thrill of attending @furrymigration.org this past weekend as a guest of honor. One treasured aspect was drawing both the con shirt and a souvenir postcard. I will share my panel recording in the next week.

Invitation

Page one of three of a short comic. Nine panels depict a wolf pulling into a roadside coffee stand called "Nether Coffee," where the barista asks increasingly invasive questions: "Hi there! What can we get started for you...where are you headed today...what's your social security number?" The driver is handed a bag of blood and answers "Five" to the barista's amusement. He drinks from it as he drives. There is a road atlas in the otherwise empty passenger seat of his sedan.

In this next page, the car is show pulling off into an exit titled "Forest Hills Exit." The car pulls into a suburban home's driveway and the wolf gets he luggage from the trunk, then rings the doorbell. He thinks, "I know. I was invited by friends who wanted to see me. But there is still that moment of humility, approaching their domicile, alone..."

In the final page, the door is opened and he is enthusiastically welcomed into the house by several friends. He thinks, "...without it, there wouldn't be such a moment of grace. His friend says, "Oho! Look who's here! Please...come in!" The wolf is shown beaming at the final invitation and stepping over the threshold of the entrance, and thinks, "I really appreciate such affirmation."
