Finished farming armor spheres for my new set, too. Recorded one of the runs. The event quest is a Lagi with a Tempered Rathalos joining halfway through. It's a fun one. I'm still terrible against Lagi with Greatsword, though. ~9.03 in length.

Savage Omega is not fun. 3 unavoidable carts that attempt. Getting hit or swinging both get you dead. The sheer number of attacks raining down almost guarantees a frame-trap situation will eventually happen. This is not as carefully tuned as the other hard fights.

Just found a camp in the Cliffs I never noticed before. And it has this view of the Oilwell Basin. From above. Those are explosion craters so huge it's unimaginable. And that ravine is from a laser blast. It was implied that trying to make a synthetic Elder Dragon, Zoh Shia, is what took out--

A foggy view of the Oilwell Basin from far above. You can see its signature pipes poking out from the many plateaus hiding the basin proper. Several massive craters the size of settlements or bigger dot the landscape. A huge line of earth has been carved out, aimed almost straight at the Everforge.
