Reposted by OutFront Minnesota✊🏼Indigiqueer Hummingbird @riotousmuse.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Reminder: It's ALWAYS a good day to give to @outfrontmn.bsky.social , who are Minnesota's largest LGBTQIA+ advocacy org. They need funding in order to face everything ahead of us all—regardless of elections/ political climate. Funds are tough to generate when work is accumulating & needs to expand. 1138
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026This remains a challenging time for our LGBTQ+ communities, but here in Minnesota, we are proud of our history of inclusion and we are going to keep working hard to protect the rights of students and athletes–no matter what. 071
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026There are real issues facing women and girls in sports and schools. Trans people aren’t one of them. Together, Minnesotans can continue to lift up and celebrate our athletes while digging in on the real work and investments needed to see them succeed–no matter who they are. 142
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026The MN Human Rights Act has provided clear and comprehensive protections for LGBTQ+ students and athletes since 1993. Title IX was passed to promote inclusion, not limit it. While some push a narrow vision of what it, Minnesota has shown the world that inclusion is not a zero-sum game. 161
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026It’s important for our community to know that Minnesota’s strong protections in education and on the playing field are based in our laws here in the state–not on any administration’s interpretation of Title IX. Our essential protections remain in place. 141
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026The timing may be coincidental, but the broader effort to undermine the rights and protections of LGBTQ+ students is ongoing. We know that for many members of our LGBTQ+ community these actions may raise concerns. 141
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Today, there were two hearings in federal court about Minnesota’s trans-inclusive sports policies. At the same time, the US Department of Education announced the formal rollback of 2024 Biden-era Title IX rules that included protections for LGBTQ+ students. 142
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 09/09/2026If you have a story, we want to hear it. Learn more and share it here: secure.ngpvan.com/4jDaERHnBEaX...secure.ngpvan.com Share Your Story of Trans Joy 060
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 09/09/2026This series is the first part of an ongoing project. We hope to share these stories across the state, and we invite YOU to be a part of this work. With our trans community facing attacks, your stories are powerful tools to help build awareness of joy, resilience, and strength. 161
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 09/09/2026This project is about honoring folks while they’re here, spotlighting the daily acts of resistance and care that often go unseen, and documenting what joy looks like for Queer and Trans people in this moment. All eight interviews are available to watch NOW—but this is just the beginning. 160
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 09/09/2026QUEER JOY IN RESISTANCE is a video interview series centering Trans, non-binary and queer people from across Minnesota; uplifting our stories, our work, and the ways we’re surviving, thriving, and cultivating joy despite the attacks our community is facing nationally.youtu.beQueer Joy in Resistance | 2SLGBTQIA+ Stories from Across MinnesotaYouTube video by OutFront Minnesota 1339

OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 04/09/2026But suicide prevention isn't just one thing. It's taking care to use correct names and pronouns, helping LGBTQ+ youth feel seen and heard, lending a listening ear. Suicide prevention is often in the small choices we take every day to be more kind to one another. 131
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 04/09/2026For the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, there are many factors that affect mental health–and access to gender affirming care is one of the largest. We have and will continue to work tirelessly to codify and maintain the rights and protections our community has in Minnesota, no matter what. 122
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 04/09/2026September is Suicide Prevention Month: a time to raise awareness and break down barriers that often prevent people from getting the help they need. 142
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 12/08/2026In Minnesota, we believe in protecting health care and the freedom to make choices about our bodies, lives, and futures. To all our community members–especially our trans youth and families: we are here to support you and to advocate for a world where you are valued and can get the care you need. 061
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 12/08/2026This is an expected, but disappointing, move that could change how the federal government reimburses states. But it does not change the law–and it doesn’t change that this is good, evidence-based, health care. 151
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Even if this rule goes into effect it would not change the fact that: 🟣 Gender affirming care remains legal and protected for all Minnesotans. 🟣Minnesota providers can and must continue to offer this critical care under our laws. 184
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Yesterday, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) offered their final rule on Medicaid reimbursement for youth gender affirming care. The rule is proposed for October 13, 2026–but will be challenged in court. 171
Reposted by OutFront MinnesotaGovernor Tim Walz @governorwalz.mn.gov · 30/06/2026As the Supreme Court says states can be cruel to trans kids, my message is clear: Here in Minnesota, we stand with and value our trans neighbors and youth. 382318366

OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026Over the next couple of weeks OutFront Minnesota and our community partners will be sharing opportunities to celebrate and support trans and gender expansive athletes at all levels of play - to send a clear message: You are loved, and you belong. 8/X 1122
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026In Minnesota, we won’t be sitting on the sidelines The Supreme Court may get the final word on these cases, but we get to choose what happens here in Minnesota. 7/X 173
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026“In the end, to the Court, the facts do not matter, even though the consequences are serious. The ban is absolute. Sports, of course, are often zero sum, but the law need not and should not be.” - Justice Sonia Sotomayor 6/X 161
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026There’s nothing fair about blanket bans on trans athletes; and they don’t just affect trans people. They demand invasive and unnecessary sex-verifcation tests and invite scrutiny about everyone who plays - they’re rooted in stereotypes, not science. We must make sure they don’t pass here. 5/X 192
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026Here in Minnesota we believe that everyone should have the same opportunities to participate in public life. And that includes sports. 4/X 162
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026We know that no matter where people live, this ruling and harmful rhetoric from political leaders will impact our communities - especially our youth. Our work must continue to ensure they feel seen and supported. 3/X 153
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026That means that transgender athletes living in states with bans will be barred from the opportunities their peers have to fully participate in athletics. In states, like Minnesota, with inclusive policies, transgender athletes can continue to play. 2/X 182
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/06/2026The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in BPJ and Hecox, upholding State Bans on trans athletes. Today’s 6-3 by the Court’s conservative supermajority upholds bans but it doesn’t require them. 1/X 172

OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 08/04/2026As these bills move from this committee to Judiciary and Commerce for further hearings, we will continue to advocate for our LGBTQ+ communities. Every Minnesotan deserves access to safe, effective, and supportive mental health care. 0102
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 08/04/2026PASSED: SF4706 and SF4707 Today, the MN Senate heard two bills in the Health and Human Services Committee that will continue to protect Minnesotans from the harmful and discredited practice of so-called conversion “therapy,” and will ensure that survivors can seek damages where harm was committed. 1198
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 08/04/2026In Minnesota we don’t just show up for our neighbors when it’s easy, we show up because it’s the right thing to do. Join us again tomorrow morning as we return to support bills that will help Minnesota respond to the shifting policy landscape around conversion "therapy." Forward. 3/3 091
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 08/04/2026Each time they were stopped. Our champions and allies didn’t just vote no, they stood up to speak out for our communities. We thank all those who protected and uplifted our Two Spirit, trans, nonbinary, and intersex friends and neighbors; and the hard-fought protections that benefit all of us. 2/3 1111
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 08/04/2026When harmful legislation comes to the floor, our allies and champions stand up. Today, in the Minnesota legislature, harmful policies were rushed forward with little notice in both chambers to limit gender affirming care and to challenge inclusive policies for transgender students & athletes. 1/3 1102
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 31/03/2026Together we can continue to support survivors and all members of our LGBTQ+ community and ensure access to safe, effective, and supportive health care for all of us. 0121
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 31/03/2026LGBTQ+ Minnesotans should be celebrated and supported for who they are. While the professional regulation of this practice may change as a result of this ruling; it’s still on all of us to ensure our friends, neighbors, and communities are educated about the harms of these discredited practices. 1141
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 31/03/2026Survivors still have tools to take legal action against unethical treatments, and we are working with the authors of our state’s bipartisan 2023 ban on this harmful practice who have already introduced legislation that will strengthen the ability of survivors to sue. 1143
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 31/03/2026This ruling limits the ability of the state to regulate these harmful practices; but it does not make a practice that is rejected by every major medical association legal nor does it change the fact that the discredited practice of conversion “therapy” is harmful, wrong, and unethical. 1123
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 31/03/2026Minnesotans know that conversion “therapy” is anything but therapy. We have spent years working to protect vulnerable members of our state from harmful practices through state and local regulations designed to ensure that all can trust the medical care they are seeking is safe and effective. 1133

OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/03/2026We are disappointed that the DOJ is pursuing legal action against our state and its policies; but we are confident that the state of Minnesota will continue to work to protect the rights of all our students. OutFront will continue to stand up for our communities, and support our schools. 0236
OutFront Minnesota @outfrontmn.bsky.social · 30/03/2026While arguments about fairness and safety are a big topic of cultural debate, there is no indication that trans athletes are universally at a greater advantage–and the government’s policies would have dramatic impacts on students–including on cisgender students who would face greater scrutiny. 1152
