During a public-health emergency, leaders need to respond to facts on the ground. The proposed worship-in-emergencies amendment would decide one part of the response permanently, before we know what the next emergency looks like. Vote No.

Wisconsin constitutional amendments pass the Legislature twice, then go directly to voters. The governor cannot sign or veto them. That lets a legislative majority bypass Gov. Evers and write lasting rules into our constitution.

Governing requires flexibility. Emergencies are unpredictable. Budgets change. Courts interpret laws over time. Locking broad rules into the Wisconsin Constitution can limit future leaders’ ability to respond responsibly to real-world challenges. outagamiedems.org/constitutional-am…

Wisconsin governors have unusually broad line-item veto power. The proposed partial-veto amendment would carve taxes and fees out of that authority. This is a policy fight over budgets, not a constitutional crisis. Vote No.

The difference between a regular law and a constitutional amendment: Regular laws can be adjusted when circumstances change. Constitutional amendments are much harder to fix once they pass. That is why voters deserve the full context, not just a slogan. outagamiedems.org/events
