Dragons have to be intelligent creatures to have developed the method by which they operate in the wild, on or exceeding the average hominid, or indeed any other animal capable of severe organisation. So why do they not create civilisation? Magic. Obviously.

Besides a creature as large as a dragon would swiftly render entire BIOMES to ash and cinder, why would it bother to pick off a few measly sheep & cattle??? it could rain hellfire upon all of creation and you expect me to believe it's doing this for some sodding SHEEP???

"it flies to villages and eats the sheep" okay why would it do that. in what world is that a meaningful expenditure of energy. Why would it live so far from its feeding grounds? Don't cite birds, a dragon is much larger than a bird. this is dumb. there HAS to be magic.

if we assume the dragon to be an animal, rather than a myth, we create a design for a dragon to be really boring. The joy of the dragon is in magic, & your lacklustre speculative biology to attempt to explain why it can breathe fire is dumb. besides, if it was an animal, it'd be a type of fish.

like, it's not an aspersion I'm casting but it's a neat lil microcosm to see how people can really only give a shit about stuff that directly inconveniences them. maybe I'm just kinda used to this from having chronic pain.

lisdexamfetamine, aka elvanse is a good drug for managing the symptoms of ADHD. it has the side effect of making you become very good at ignoring your physical state, which is great if you gain some kind of euphoria from being like an object, and not great if you don't want to be in a lot of pain.
