This image works on many levels.
Skeleton uses a lawn mower. Even in death, he must work. This is a comment on capitalism.

Underneath, it says, "Get ready to vote 2024." This indicates we fucked up.

A fierce and nimble speaker.
Two white, spherical speakers, both standing on tripods, from the 1960s.

Online description:

This pair of speakers perfectly illustrates the innovative design and audio technology of mid-20th-century France. Designed in the 1960s, these spherical speakers were initially intended for professional use, particularly in cinemas and studios, but their futuristic aesthetic quickly found its way into high-end interiors.

I don't think I've read Elmore Leonard before (unless, maybe "Get Shorty" after seeing the film). I just finished reading "52 Pick-up," and -- wow! -- that one goes MUCH harder than I was expecting.

I have this funny feeling we're never going to see that "Fawlty Towers" reboot that was announced in 2023, for, um, multiple reasons. (Other than the latest obvious one, Rob Reiner was producing. So, let's just call the project "ill-fated.")

I don't remember if there was a specific reason I made this a year or so ago, but it still applies.
Still from "The Prisoner." Rover, the large white balloon, is labeled AI. Patrick McGoohan lies face-down on the ground, labeled "Me."

Throwback to when I had cable and the show guide always gave me the right channel and show name, but w/ the description from the preceding show on the schedule. Actually, "The Good Place" was full of rug-pulls, so turning it into the finale for "America's Got Talent" would have been conceivable.
Cable program guide, but with mismatched show name and show description (in this case, for "The Good Place" but with description for the finale of "America's Got Talent": "Tyra Banks reveals the $1 million winner; performances by Kelly Clarkson, Shania Twain, ..." etc. etc.
