… remember how awesome last years “VHS Halloween” was… this is the opposite… easily one of my least favorite in the franchise. The stories are uninspired and they all feel like poorly acted student films… it’s just kinda dumb.

... though the story is interesting on paper, the execution of the film feels pretty lack luster. Missing is all of the visual style and tension that Hitchcock was able to bring in the first film. Though it doesn't feel like a complete cash grab production, it is kind of visually milquetoast.

The story here is actually pretty compelling, a who done it of sorts with the red-herring of Norman being the murder suspect, driven to madness by Lila Crane, and Mary, but Norman, driven mad, kills Marion's sister, and Mary is shot by the police, leaving Norman regressed and charge of the motel.

… generally speaking, found footage movies all suffer from the same problems… awkward pacing, unnatural conversations… everything just feels forced… this movie was no different… occasional creepy imagery threaded together by cliche plotting… total boot.

… it was a fun ride and i liked the cinematography, but I think I would have enjoyed this more if I had known it was a comedy… a gory comedy… but a comedy nonetheless. I found myself being annoyed at the characters actions/dialogue… and i didn’t care for the shots that were “first person”
