#FontsOnFriday the ‘probably’ medieval font at St Thomas Becket Capel Kent. It also has some wonderful medieval paintings and this odd headstone.
A cute little octagonal font that is probably medieval. Some great medieval wall paintings. Odd headstone of a skull Ona a tree or a skull wearing a really bad wig.

A beautiful 1390 misericord from St Botolph’s in Boston Lincs.
A medieval misericord with a man in a hood slaying a griffin. He is being attacked by another (or an eagle, depending on your opinion) while looking at the viewer as if to say ‘really?’

#FontsOnFriday late posting but saw this yesterday at St Wulfram’s Grantham. 12-13th C. Font. 1899 cover.
A badly damaged 12-13 century font and a cover from 1899 to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. It has been in continuous use since its installation

"As a horror game, Call of Cthulhu does an amazing job of making players empathize with their characters. The characters are human, and their enemy is not... It has a way of evoking genuine emotions of fear and intrigue." — The Michigan Daily.

Apropos of nothing, we note here that Library Use is one of the important skills a player character can have in the Call of Cthulhu #TTRPG...

#TombTuesday found this at the centre of Rathsonny Ringfort. Anyone know anything about it other than ‘possibly 1st to 9th century AD’?

Just watched a train conductor put on a nasal voice to get the right announcement sound over the speakers.

Has anybody else noticed how many A4+ Manila folders there are in non government tv fiction? They are REALLY hard to come by.

I recently visited Newgrange in Ireland and found out that the builders’ culture died out and was replaced by the culture that built the henges. Can anyone recommend a book/paper/article on this please?
