Went to Tattered Cover to see @scalzi.com today and he was kind, funny, gracious, and enormously entertaining. He does a reading from an unannounced book he’s writing and it had the crowd variously in stitches and on the edge of our seats. Go see him when he comes to your town! Terrific afternoon!

I was at a shitty dive bar in Lakewood, CO where Monty Hoffman (who played Coach Sonski on Saved by the Bell) was doing an open mic. His set wasn't funny (the big joke was about women queefing after sex 🙄). I talked to him for like 30 seconds and told him I liked Saved by the Bell. He thanked me.
