UT Austin cuts women's, gender and sexuality courses from core curriculum
Classes like "Women and the Holocaust," "Slavery and its legacies" and "Mexican American Women 1910 to Present" were all not approved by the university for core curriculum status.

Please answer my question.

Why? What has she done to justify a bar complaint?

You have Google, right? But also, who is alleging Jasmine has committed an ethical lapse that would justify a bar complaint?

You asked me to tell you about discovery. I’m trying to answer. That’s a big question. And the TCPA is very relevant here, so I was trying to find out if that’s what you’re asking about.

Harvey Birdlaw @ostensiblyethan.bsky.social · 03/10/2026
When did I insist she was acting unethically?

What do you want to know? Are you wondering about the effect of the TCPA on discovery?

What ethics complaint?

So “making shit up” is not a cognizable claim for relief? Then why did you tell Prem to lawyer up?
200
Harvey Birdlaw @ostensiblyethan.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Is that a claim for relief? Could you cite supporting statutes or case law?
100
Harvey Birdlaw @ostensiblyethan.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
But why do you think Prem should lawyer up? What legal claims do you think are at issue here?

Ah, gods. So it really was this: “Sir, he had tickets to a game.” “Which teams played?” ::dude only looks only at dude sports:: “My god. The Atlanta Hawks played near then.” “This is it, boys. Print the demonstratives. You’re looking at the future vice president.”

Truly a rogue court. They’re drunk on their own power, and have lost all consideration for legitimacy. They’re no longer a meaningful check on the executive, and they’re jealous of the ensuing power, so they’re taking some for themselves.

Yeah, that’s a totally different interview world. Thank you for providing the genesis of this. I’d been wondering. It definitely seems aimed at a very small subset of both interviewees and expectations from potentially uppity interviewers.

Yeah, I think that’s part of this. If you bring in your own coffee, it’s kind of implying that you assumed we wouldn’t take care of you. I fought hard for that damn Nespresso! Drink my free drink!

Absolutely. I am crazy about that book. Like everyone gets a copy on their birthday type crazy. So I had a lot of anxiety and high expectations for the show. The show is rad. Just good damn TV, but for someone who loves the book, it’s also a very solid adaptation that adds something new.

I’m feel like we lawyers are kind of DQ’d here. I’ve seen a bunch of lawyers chiming in exactly as I did, and it’s basically inconceivable in our realm that this is even an argument. We interview like ten associates a month. Dude walks in with a coffee he won’t walk out with a job.

Harvey Birdlaw @ostensiblyethan.bsky.social · 26/09/2026
I think the implication is that you’re walking into the interview like you’re walking into a mall hungover. Like. It’s an interview. You probably should’ve woken up early enough to finish your coffee before walking in. Sure, it’s a dumb criteria. But with so many applicants, why risk it?

Someone wanted to hack Australia. They did so. Australia finally realized it. The company used their new cover story, saying “oh, golly, rogue AI agent. This technology is so good! But uncontrollable. Not our fault. No one’s fault, really.” Then they said “shrug.” Then the media believed them.

He kind of got his ass handed to him by Media Matters. Yes, it cost them a ton of money and trouble, but his record in the few times he’s flexed his muscles is pretty poor. Bark worse than bite.

It’s also that he was wrong-footed when Kushner inevitably leaked it. Not only did Jeffries take this bonehead meeting with the unelected doofus working privately for the crazy dictator, he got rolled and let the bad guys set the narrative.

This isn’t Twitter. No one can farm clout here. There’s no algorithm promoting popular posts. People write their opinions down and others like them. You’re just a dweeb who can’t accept that people legitimately hate AI. We also hate people who defend it. Calm down and just go like your toy.

This is a company and industry culture. The analysis is about how it’s so prevalent it hurts women throughout the industry. It’s such a problem that it affects the product, which is valued in billions. This isn’t just a few people doing fun sex and drugs things. Willfully obtuse is correct here.

It works white men and white women drink from the same fountains. It works for white men and white women in pools. It works for white men and white women by having separate sports leagues. And it works because they know they Both need spaces for themselves.
