No video on the channel this week. Oso and I just got back from the UK last night. Short trip for family reasons and now I'm tired and even more stressed than before. Fuck Alzheimers!

Decided to lock in and picked up the pencil to practice drawing. There is Cadfan! Proud warrior from Cymru, working on the fantasy more whimsy setting for the 5 Leagues from Borderlands Miniature game! And of course Cadfan's husband is from Meso America.

First painted warhammer minis. The paint for the gold was really watery and I struggled with that 😅.

Space Marines are primed 😁. The Introductory set had no primer but said to use the black paint. It took around 2 hours! Definitely getting spray primer next time we go out for the Orks! Might need more brushes too. But I had fun painting my first W40k minis! I'll finish adding color tomorrow

No hate to canids at all, but this is what I see every time that "furry of the year" post that goes around

A collection of drawings of the same canid head repeated 10 times

I'm still bitching about this, it makes the super evil mega demon shape shifting villain so weak? He could exploit grief, trust, guilt, ambition, ect ect? Instead everytime he appears, it feels more like a skit lmao.

And its just so out of left field. One paragraph is following the characters,The next paragraph the evil demon turns into a lady, shows her leg the guy instantly can't control himself follows her and instantly gets killed, then the other paragraph its back to the heroes.

Darkwalker on Moonshae. Couldn't get into it but will try and read it later. The evil demon bad guy keeps turning into women to seduce men and lure them away to kill them. The phrase "deliciously curvy" is written. I forgot that straight men write fantasy and they really shouldn't. 2/5

Something about the old Shadowrun art style just fits the Vibe for me. The Art for the new editions are great too but it just doesn't click the same for me!

Reading the Old School Essentials book. Really loving that they have options for race as class and race+Class. Although tbh I always ignored the level and class restrictions in the older ttrpgs. But it's nice to not have to homebrew it lmao.

I met my husband, @blaiddllwyd.bsky.social in World of Warcraft so that basically assured that we are both into D&D and other geeky stuff and he introduced me to stuff like Blake7. I think the people who find stuff like ttrpg "childish" are just really shallow.
