The HBO series Lanterns is incredibly well written and provides an example of why character driven writing works. I am not a fan of DC or Marvel comics in movies or a TV series, but the writing, acting and direction is so good, I’m riveted.

Off topic. I met Alan Alda at a book store where I worked in events. He was promoting his autobiography. Of all the celebrities I’ve met, he was the nicest. He went around shaking all the employees’ hands introducing himself and thanking them for their work.
