It is a shame that "democratization" in software has come to mean broader access to products instead of participation in democratic processes — there is talk of LLMs democratizing software production, but I have yet to see social, collective and democratic processes govern the design of software.

oh, i meant more of a view of a voice memo where instead of being tied to the technicity of GPS, it's specific to whether i physically turned left or right there is a lot that i experience on a walk that i would like to safeguard by not capturing. the question of capture then is an ethical one too
