Yes! I’ve finally finished this work! Orso is free!)) This is Epieuryceros truncus, an extinct deer species from the Early Pleistocene of Argentina. The antlers of this animal are noticeably different in shape from those of other South American deer.

Another Lascaux horse. From last Autumn.
Framed relief sculpture of a horse, based on the axial gallery of the Lascaux. The horse is yellow, with an orange neck/face. It starts on the left/hindquarters as a cave painting and then becomes more three dimensional to the right/front. The background of the relief is textured to look rock-like. There are various painted lines around the horse including two that look like feathers, and 4 parallel lines above. Framed relief sculpture of a horse, based on the axial gallery of the Lascaux. I remember I have an unfinished art with deer, but I just can't seem to get started on it. It’s been about two years, I think... For some reason, I’m afraid to touch it. So, I ended up drawing a bull instead.

Bos primigenius, or the aurochs, was a wild ox that lived during the Pleistocene and Holocene epochs. The last member of the species died out in the 17th century AD. Several subspecies of the aurochs are the ancestors of modern cattle. I drew upon Paleolithic art, making the work more decorative.

I don't think I've shown this old drawing here before. A fearsome beast has gone out hunting. Yes, that is young Orso. Fun fact: this character was never born as an animal cub. He is actually a human who acquired a dual nature during his teenage years.

Simply graphics, without the obligation to do anything more later, allows you to relax and think. However, not in this specific case.

I'm still alive. I'm just having a hard time drawing anything right now... So here's a sketch of Orso, which I spent way more time on than I should have.
Just a sketch with a character, that's all I can do for now.

Pleistocene steppe bison Bison Priscus. It inhabited Europe, Asia, and North America until the early Holocene and is the ancestor of modern European bison and American bison. I'm not sure if it's noticeable, but I was inspired by ancient images of bison and Altamira and other caves.

This year I've done more work with prehistoric animals than I have in a long time. But I don't have time to do these guys. Will see them again next year.
Unfinished work with ancient animals awaits its time in the new year.

An uninvited guest. I haven't done any new work with Orso in a while, and I don't have anything new for the New Year either. So I'll leave another old work here. It's almost New Year's)

Palaeoplatyceros hispanicus- a muntjac-like deer from the Middle Miocene of Spain. Numerous antlers found on Otero Hill in Palencia allow to trace the age-related dimorphism of these animals. The illustration shows an adult, possibly even old, animal and a younger deer in the background.

Scary paleoart: deers Antifer ultra as skinwalkers. A little sketch for Halloween. And of course, I know geography separates these deer from Navajo mythology, but nevertheless, it will be like this)

Here's a T. Rex bored to death trying to bite their own tail. My partner asked me to animate it in stop motion, after she watched a video about the very important topic of "could T. Rex chew its own tail like a dog". The puppet is still a work in progress 🦖
