Just a few hours before the Street Fighter II ROM was finalized, Akira Nishitani decided that Guile's somersault kick would be directed forward rather than backward, much to the astonishment of his colleagues (and so much for the game's balance). xcancel.com/nin_arika/st...

Just read akihabara is getting redeveloped, which seems to mean the old electric town will be replaced with a touristy shopping experience. All the small shops have been closing and what will remain will be mainstream shiny stores. If you wanted to see what you saw on videos and anime, visit now!

Offline for a few days and a new Neo Geo drops!?! Then I start seeing a bunch of posts on X from people using an old pic of my Nazca dev board to make fun of the AES+ carts 😅

Just realized it's been 10 years since I first booted up the lost NeoGeo game DarkSeed (Dragon's Heaven). There were some challenges to get it working and EPROM data labeled it as Voltage Fighter, so I wasn't super eager to get it running. After realizing the cards were mislabeled, it booted. 1/x

Finally put up those photos plus a video of my trip to SNK. It's kinda weird talking to companies because there are things you can chat about and questions that they are not allowed to answer. Still, the Shinkirou pics are amazing to see in real life. orochinagi.com/2026/04/visi...
