@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 26/08/2026This is my #Dolly, she is small, beautiful, with a big personality who loves people. Just like the woman she is named after. RIP #DollyParton 000

@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/08/2026I was at the vet yesterday and they had candles out to indicate that someone was saying goodbye to a pet. Reminded me of when I said goodbye to my cat in Feb 2021. Went home and had a wee cry, as it still hurts. 000

@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/08/2026My nieces who were struggling to read when they were young were encouraged to read when my mum would ask them to read to her big black lab. The dog loved the attention and my nieces wanted to learn to read, with no pressure or judgement, as they loved spending the time with her dog. 🥰🥰🥰 010
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 11/08/2026There used to be a guy on TT who did videos of how to elevate the noodles by making additional sauces/spices. I got hooked following the recipes and had to stop before the addiction took over my life 😂 020
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Closest to this I have ever got was a three day trip between Seattle and Minnesota as a teenager sat in a recliner chair. I would love to try this end of the sleeper train spectrum!!! 010
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Brilliant podcast, American History Tellers, did a season on this. It was fascinating. 011

@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 05/05/2026Day out at Drumlanrig Castle. Dolly had fun eating LOTS of sheep poo, all the tufts of fleece she could find, and half my cheese burger. Dogs not allowed inside, but the grounds and garden were beautiful. Dolly got to say hello to many people. She loves the little people most of all. 🥰🥰🥰 000
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 05/05/2026I met her years later and she said her dogs fave tiy was still a loo roll tube, and he always waited outside the door anytime someone went to the loo, just incase there was one going 😆😆😆 020
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 05/05/2026I puppy sat a collie over christmas once. At 9wks, he was already well trained by his dog trainer mum. He came with a massive box of toys. After 5 days with me, we had eaten full christmas dinners x4 together and his fav toy was a cooked brussel sprout and a loo roll tube. 100
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/04/2026Small chips of both inside and outside ankle bone stepping on wall chasing him. He must have reaslised something had happened, as he sat still after I fell over the wall. 020
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/04/2026A great few weeks with Dolly. Learnt that Puppy Blues is a thing, that just cuz a mix breed incl a laid back breed (Pug) foesnt mean the other breed (JRT) eon't dominate. Getting help early is amazing. Like with kids, ppl eill always give you unsolicited advice on how they should be progressing 000
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/04/2026I also broke my ankle when I accudently dropped his leash and chased him over a short wall. So be careful!!! 😬🥰😬 110
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/04/2026I had another rescue who was okay with leash walking for a short distance, but he was a tripod and he was mourning his previous owber and he was only with me for a short time. 130
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 19/04/2026I have an ex feral cat with FIV, and I eoukd love to leash train him, as he desp wants to go out, but he goes appoplectic any time I put a leash on him. He has a garden, but still misses free roaming. 🥺🥺🥺 110
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 27/03/2026Damn it. I had just managed to get that ad out of my head!!! 000
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 22/03/2026My sister is a professor in env studies. She says she can easily spot AI essays. Esp the one where, on the subject of ecology, the paper went off onto a tangent about N*zis and WWII. She said it was one thing to use AI to write the paper, it was another entirely not to read it before handing it in. 000
Reposted by @OriviaWeRateDogs @weratedogs.com · 17/03/2026This is Stinky and Binky. Their human jokingly started offering ad space on their backs, but then people actually started buying spots. Good thing Binky is running a special. 14/10 for both (TT: toocutelabs) 644537524

@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 09/03/2026About 5kg. Big Ted is 6.5kg, so will be an even match! So far she is taking after her Jack Russell dad energy wise! Hoping her lazy Pug mum genes kick in soon 😄 She loves her food and licking everyone, so lile her mum in that respect 🥰 110
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 09/03/2026She is going to be KRANKY for the next few days. She normally sleeps 18-20hrs a day. She was awake from 10.30am to 8.30pm. She wouldnt go in the garden for a wee, as she just sat in front of me all the time waiting for a trrat lile the trainer gave her 😃 110
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 09/03/2026@kelsy.co.nz big day for Dolly! 1-2-1 training session (to learn how not to to bite her big brother), her first Big Girl Food (wet puppy food) and a new toy. She was awake all day, and was very cranky by the time she finally went to bed. Her 2nd vacs tomorrow 🥰 (sound on) 120
@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 06/03/2026I was lucky to have a teacher at secondary school who said "It is not my job to teach you facts, it is my job to teach you how to learn". That stuck with me and I am a life long learner. I love a distance learning course at a uni abroad, with visits. KTH in Stockholm and GSA in Glasgow were my faves 010

@Orivia @orivia.bsky.social · 27/02/2026They were really good the first few days, even had them both sitting on the the 2nd night. But then Dolly's terrier instincts kicked in and she has sharp teeth! Ted was not amused. So now back to keeping them apart until Dolly calms down a bit. 110
