Its a very personal decision. I wouldn't let these online people you've probably never met influence that kind of thing too much. There's a big difference between dropping your kids off with them all day regularly and visiting for a few hours on hollidays.

Back then it was The No Shows, now I play in a band called Helium Submarine. As far as bands you might have heard of, I played in The Waking Night for a while with the drummer from Motherhood, who are still active.

Im no studio nerd or anything, but its my understanding that if you want an album to sound good, it has to be mastered well. However, you can't make shit sound like gold, so there's only so much you can do.

Ever heard of Bob Ludwig? I'm just realizing that he mastered or remastered A LOT of my favourite albums of all time. He worked on over 7000 albums in his 50+ year career, so probably a lot of your favourites as well.

Hurricane Isaias is the first storm of the season to reach hurricane level. It's the latest in the year we have seen the first one come since 1905. Apparently, it's because of the strongest El Niño we have had in a long time. I have a feeling this season will end a lot crazier than it started.

If AI has a chance of being a benefit to society, there will be signs... like instead of killing off all of humanity, they start w/ the ruling class, and then stop. I'm not sure how you teach an AI that it should value what's good for society, humanity, and the global ecosystem, but here's hoping...

If I could re-live one calander year from my childhood, but as an adult, it would be Oct. 24, 1992 to Oct. 24, 1993. I would see my Blue Jays win 2 World Series', see my Habs win a Stanley Cup, and see a bunch of my favourite bands more-or-less in their prime.

Ed Sheeran probably understands by now that he should have dropped the stadiums owned by people like Robert Kraft who are trying to blacklist people for standing up for Palestine rights, rather than dropping Macklemore. Other artists will start making the correct choice. This is a turning point.

However, I caution about making Macklemore the hero of this story. He has done some legitimately antisemitic things in his career. I believe he has appologized for this, but it probably makes him not the ideal representative of the Palestinian cause.

Apparently, I'm at the stage of vision loss where I need a magnifier app to read some fine print, I need to find the right distance from my face to read just about anything, and its getting harder to identify emojis to the point where I have to squint to know if someone said "this" 👆 or "F*** you" 🖕

I am in the Atlantic time zone (an hour later than NYC) so that probably tracks. I have visual memories of talking to my friends after school, my mom trying to get rid of a couch when I got home, and watching the news for the rest of the evening.

Even in Canada, it was a crazy day, though. I remember a lot more specific things about that day than I do for most days of my life. I didn't even learn about it until about 2 or 3 hours after the first plane made impact. I went a whole high-school lunch break without even hearing about it.

Ive noticed a fairly steady decline for a couple years since I started to notice it wasn't perfect. I'm still far from not being able to read books or text messages, but maybe I should assume that's just around the corner.
