There really is. There are police forces that *didn't* begin as retrieval of property squads, but most police forces began as part of a slavery economy and use those tactics (or combine the two.) (I say retrieval of property because in some places it was primarily about quadrupeds not bipeds )

I don't actually live in the desert, I live in a place where the humidity is usually so high that you only get severe radiative cooling in the winter and last night was an exceptionally clear autumn night. (Also I prefer the term radiational but people get dumb about that term too.)

One of the weirdest moments in my life was realizing I was so stressed out that I was looking forward to the nap part of a colonoscopy. Then I had a electrolyte imbalance hospitalize me from prep, it was kind of cool to sit there with sky high blood pressure and a great EKG though. My heart works!

I hate to say this but... going to? There are already more than 1100 people who have gone into the camps not come out and are not accounted for. Pretty much every new earthwork we see next to a known ICE concentration camp from satellite footage should probably be assumed to be a mass grave.
