Rani had at least three litters of kittens under a trailer near what used to be Griffiss Air Force Base. She survived at least two winters of lake effect snow, most of her kittens did not. You can't get her to go outside, if you open a door she will run further in. She is absolutely content.

More than 40 transmission towers were destroyed. We can talk about the racism about where these are built, but if you imagine these can be repaired with two guys in a bucket truck you are literally delusional. You have to compare apples to apples. You're comparing power poles to transmission towers.

Warning: This book contains historical and folkloric depictions of violence, and is set in one of the most deadly parts of a war that had a high enough body count to break an entire continent. There are also two instances of historical misgendering (calling one Scotsman an ogress in an elegant dress and another an insult that can be understood as a silly auntie) and the absolutely abhorrent practice of calling the Schottisch by the hateful term Nordbritish, which is absolutely out of line. The soldiers also swear like Prussians and Scotsmen (and one terrible Hessian) and half of them die. There is also light necromancy, mentions of sex work and infidelity, Presbyterianism, the historic use of alcohol, cocaine and morphine, and just a bit of murder.

Not suitable for all audiences. You know who you are and you were warned in advance.

A republic is not strengthened when it crushes a child to make a point. A government that cannot distinguish a frightened thirteen-year-old from a predator is not restoring order, it is confessing incompetence.

However, the bill before the fictional Senate that is so heinous that the Senior Senator is willing to risk his life to speak out against it, despite ailing health, is the first real world connection that I have to speak about. That fiction-al bill, to allow twelve year olds charged with crimes to be treated as adults, was originally supposed to be a bill about 13-year olds, but needed to be walked back to 12 to make it less close to reality. I faced the very sad fact that my evil, faerie-infiltrated Majority Party, which I very carefully never called Republicans or Democrats, had created a bill that was only a teeny bit more heinous than the one that existed in the real world, de-spite every world that Frank says about it being absolutely true, so I lowered the ridiculous bill to 12 to make it even clearer that I was addressing a bill that no real political party would propose, and so I will let him say once more the truth about all such laws: “A republic is not strengthened when it crushes a child to make a point. Racism and classism has a lot to do with why the grid there had been like it was, but over 40 gigantic transmission towers were taken down by the storm. Those can't be fixed with a bucket truck. Each one is a massive construction project. It actually took less time than everyone thought it would

While perspective is difficult, the small lumps on the bottom of the image are full grown trees and houses. These are enormous structures, these transmission towers that are shown lying on the ground after 44 were damaged in Gary

Look at his belly!!! He's getting ready to migrate, so he's gulping nectar, sitting in the tree, excreting extra water, then doing it again. Carb loading is actually a good term. I don't keep feeders out all the time but they can use all the help when they get here and right before they leave.

Most people only have seen these from a great distance while passing them on the highway and have no idea of their size. While you can't get a size precise estimate from this picture the dark lumps at the bottom of the image are mature trees and houses.

But this happened and during normal construction each of these can take months to build. Lack of redundancy is the racism. Humans in Gary who are not big corporations who have natural gas generators also have power. Natural Gas comes from under the ground. Over 40 of these towers are now destroyed.

This blog from a Bookseller discusses how the books that are being purchased are from "dead inventory" I don't agree with everything they say but they are talking about the *types* of books being bought. charliebecker.substack.com/p/is-an-ai-c...

What people kept noticing is that these books are going out in larger-than-normal shipments — and they’re strange books—stuff like The Insider’s Guide to Metro Denver from 1995 or How to Use Corel WordPerfect 1991—just old books people are never normally buying. Dead inventory. They’re all being bought by one company and shipped to a different location than where the company is based.

I want to believe this, but based on his behavior his entire life, I think that syphilis melted his frontal lobe and he doesn't have the relationship to shame that a person with a developed frontal lobe has. He has a level one or two moral development on Kohlberg's stages, like a toddler.

Look carefully at this image. Does it prove what the story claims it proves or does it prove that a catering truck existed? Does it provide details of how he got back onto Air Force One to get off of it after it landed or does it just show him getting off the plane?

A really quick way to remember Earth:Jupiter is to realize most of Jupiter's large white spots (and Saturn's white spot) are about Earth sized. Or that, currently, if Jupiter's big spot was a closed eye, it would have an iris (the colored part around the pupil) that was Earth-sized if it opened.
