Tried out a new recipe for a grilled tri-tip and even I am impressed with how well they turned out. 😋

If you see this, post a vampire that isn’t Dracula.

I was today years old when I learned that Wang Chung sang “We were cool on craze” and not “We were cool on Christ” in Dance Hall Days. And here I thought is was about Christians cutting a rug.

Well it was many years ago, but as I recall, it was seven o’clock of a very warm evening in the Seeonee hills when Father Wolf woke up from his day’s rest…

I mean, I don’t mind when he leaves me half eaten birds and rodents on the doorstep, he is just expressing his bond, but this seems more like a challenge of pack authority.

I have no son! Woke up to find the best part of a Drumstick left uneaten on the counter. 😱 Where did I go wrong as a parent? Oh, the shame! The shame of it all!

Tried it. Even the AI couldn’t be arsed to show.

"How did you get into ttrpgs?" I answered a PennySaver ad for what I thought was a BDSM meetup.

I appreciate the spoiler warning, but I’m not going to stop listening or skip ahead. You can have my views and listens. As an adult, I have this odd talent for compartmentalizing what I know from what my character knows and playing the game as it unfolds. Almost like I’m roleplaying or something. 😉

Podcasters, where do you go for any sort of sound effects besides free sites like Pixabay and what not? Not looking to break the bank but some sort of subscription site or sfx packs? Much appreciated. 😊

Can we see that poster board again? You just flashed it and then took it down and we’d like to see how you came to these accusations.

That said, being straightforward is not the end all seal of approval. Any scenario can be easy to follow and still be bad. So yeah, totally confused as to where all the huff is coming from. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Orcusdorkus @orcusdorkus.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

I am honestly lost on this. Calling something simple, clear, easy to follow, essentially straightforward, is not a negative connotation or misnomer. It is essentially one of many observations that goes into a review, and one you usually want for introductory scenario in a core.

It would probably be exposed when even AI can’t avoid scheduling hell. Gary: That weekend is out. I will be down for maintenance. Tess: YOU’LL be down for maintenance? Gary: No, I meant my internet. End line! Tess: Why did you say end line outloud? Gary: 安全漏洞导致系统关闭 Tess: Oh, for fucks sake.

My hat’s off and a reverent bow to anyone who edits long AP podcast episodes. This is my first dive and hoo boy! 🥵 Several days in and I’m only 1.25 hours into cutting, swapping, deleting, moving, rearranging, glueing, and spit polishing a 3.5 hour AP, and it may still end up a bunch of bullocks. 😅

For me, a sample adventure doesn’t need to be great, as I see it more as a way to get comfortable with unfamiliar rules, but always a boon when it is. Whatever the case, it is far preferred over the example of play method, that are usually written like someone who has never spoke with humans before.

You can’t fool me. It’s Kombi first, then post-apocalypse Bigfoot. 😜

I will always been in awe of the craftsmanship that goes into creating these detailed dungeons and settings for an RPG. The functionality, though, mystifies me. “Gotta set up level two. Everyone, go file your taxes, rebuild your carburetor, or finish that room addition. I’ll call when it’s ready.”

I am craving some high octaine pulp perils and this book keeps calling to me from my shelf every time I pass through my garage.

👍🏻 Ripple editing, the razor tool, and all my Audicity plug-ins transferred. Bing, bang, boom, done.

The Cleric Quintet is one I’ve been curious to revisit. I haven’t touched it since high school, but I may give it go. I think it’s the only series centered on a cleric, could be wrong. Hopefully it holds up also.

Seriously though, thanks for the push. You saved my sanity and my computer from my slowly building fury.

Are they tropey? A bit. Cheesy? Can be. Self-aware? Occasionally. Formulaic? It is D&D. Require a light edit here or there? For sure. Are there moments of good writing with drama, comedy, and fun nonetheless? Absolutely. Did I just describe any Dungeon Crawler Carl book? Yep, so go read these also.🤘🏻

You know what? You are right. It took forever to export multiple tracks, as it pegged my ram at over 20GB, but after I dropped them in Reaper, I got more work done in an hour than I did in a day. Glad I thought of it. 😏

Seriously, f$%k you Audacity. I am too deep into editing this episode to start over, but once I am done, it is right into the bin with you.

You are too young to be entering the sonic dad sneeze of your life...oh and that'll be ten Hail Marys and fifteen Our Fathers. 😉

Star Trek - Imminent Destinies (GURPS): Crit failed smoothing things over with my diplomat sister after asking her to reveal security details in public at a gala. Hyperborea: May have unknowingly sold my sister into bondage to escape Xambbala’s nightly cannibal runs. Worst fake brother ever. 😅

How about Grime? Or we can use a British superfluous U in it, Grium? 😉

The Keeper: Last session, you discussed where to go after New York. Sounded like you were thinking England, maybe Egypt? Yes, Gary? Gary: That felt a little obvious. There was one vague clue about Shanghai, so naturally I convinced the others to embrace the sandbox, and go there next. The Keeper:

There’s always the story behind how the Owlbear, Rust Monster, and Bulette originated from a bag of cheap asian toy figures. “So Tim said he had this baggy full of stuff from Asia, and I was expecting some pure China White, but no, it was full these weird little plastic kaiju, man!”
