Somehow it took me spending a weekend in Flushing to realize that WMATA's bus route naming convention redesign was just copying MTA's convention... and their ongoing Metro wayfinding signage re-do is also jury a copy job of the subway. I understand the NYC envy, but it all seems a bit underbaked.

The Corp wasn't/isn't any more or a frat than GUASFCU, the Chimes, or any club sports team tbh. At a certain point, any college organization that isn't fully open membership and throws parties is going to look similar. Greek frats are a largely toxic subset for some very specific reasons.

They very much do believe that Zionism is a genocidal ideology and that someone attending a 'Zionist synagogue' is the equivalent of a Brit or American of German extraction attending a 'Lutheran Church of Lebensraum.' What you choose to do about that has to be based on a recognition of that reality.

It's a good comparison. The mandate from the top (Acting President Russ Vought) is to massively descope FEMA, so the thinking is: let's massively descope the definition of EM, and then people will believe we're just rightsizing the agency instead of having it toots of out of scope things.
