Happy 20th Anniversary Black Butler. And a big thank you to you for keeping this awesome Wiki going!

Looks like a 20th Anniversary Exhibition has been announced too! Probably only going to be in Japan sadly, but hopefully we'll get photos at some point.

I was thrown off a little when I first saw it. I had pictured him with Auburn hair and dark green eyes. Absolutely nowhere did it give any indication before this as to what colours they were, that just what I thought. Guess I was way off.

Do you know if the logo will change for the final season, as it did on TV, or will it be kept the same for consistency, like the Doctor Who ones?

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Facsimiles? ...Autons perhaps? Would explain why these two seemingly random people know who the Doctor is.

"Sword of Orion" by Nicholas Briggs. As the Cybermen audio debut, I enjoy it. Glad they aren't brought in straight away, as it gives the other characters space to grow beforehand. Deeva is the standout and I like that we hear more from her. Last few minutes were a little rushed but still good. 8.5

The cover of "Sword of Orion" by Nicholas Briggs. Features the Eighth Doctor on the Right and a Cyberman from 1968's "The Invasion" on the Left. A planet hangs in the top right corner and pipes cover the background. Astral Maps and Circuit board patterns are overlayed on the whole cover.

"Storm Warning" by Alan Barnes. A great start to the long-running adventures with Charley. She gets a reasonable amount to do, as introductory stories go. The Triskele are one of the most interesting species in expanded media and Rathbone is truly a dreadful person. Always been a favourite. 9.5

Cover of Storm Warning, Written by Alan Barnes. The cover features the Eighth Doctor with the R-101 Airship, high in the sky. A triskelion symbol is in the top right.

Gorgeous! Is this the doubling as the Second Doctor's 60th anniversary celebration, or is there perhaps something else in store down the line? Happy either way to be honest, this looks great.

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 12/07/2026

SIDE NOTE: I thought Mary was great in all three of these and I would like to hear more from her one day, especially as "Mary's story" mentioned a couple of other adventures we've yet to hear. Though I'd like to them wrap up the stories a few of his current companions before we revisit Mary.

"Army of Death" by Jason Arnopp. A decent enough ending to a pretty solid trilogy. I remembered a lot of this one, though not quite how cheesy I found the Enemy in the last episode or two. A shame as I thought he was really creepy to begin with, but it was still good and that didn't ruin it. 7.5/10.

"The Witch from the Well" by Rick Briggs. Never been a fan of Witch Trial stories as they often end up being very similar, whereas this tried something a little different and it paid off. Didn't remember too much beside the Twin plot twist and the TARDIS team separation, but really enjoyed it. 9/10.

"The Sliver Turk" by Marc Platt. It's a really interesting Idea to have a historical figure as a companion. It must be quite a challenge to stay true to the real person, whilst still making her their own. The Cybermen are handled really well here and Drossell is a great villain. Really spooky. 9/10.

The Cover of "The Silver Turk" features a cyberman front and centre, with the Eighth Doctor and Mary Shelley in the background. Musical notes and a Church spire stand in the middle.

"Shada" by Douglas Adams and Adapted by Gary Russell. A solid adaptation of this unfinished story. Great performances all around. Is a bit redundant with the 2017 animation, but I still enjoy it a lot. It was Paul McGann's favourite story at one point, I wonder it it still is? 8.5/10.

The Cover of 2003's "Shada". An adaptation of the Unfinished 1980 story featuring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor. This iteration now features Paul Mcgann as the Eighth Doctor. The cover shows The Doctor, Romana and K9 outside of Cambridge University. The face of Professor Chronotis floats in the background.

Sounds great! Does feel like it would have made more sense to release this trailer tomorrow instead, given it's so close. (Really just hoping for The Haunted Windmill cover and cast to be added to the website as soon as possible, given that it looks so good in Vortex.)

So excited!! I have added it to a timeline that I made. If there is any mistakes, I shall amend.

A timeline showing the chronological order of the "Confessions of Dorian Gray" audio series. It is split into three timelines, with the first following the main story, and the second and third including stories that don't fit into the main continuity.

I'd be down for some standard chapter covers without the logos on, if that would fill it out a bit more.

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

I suppose it depends on whether they were to go into spoiler territory or not. If so, then they could include volume artwork, Magazine covers alongside the few drawings done for the newer Anime series. I think they'd struggle if not. A spoiler warning in the front would probably be best.

110

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

As it's only three months away now, what do you think they'll do for the anniversary. I think volume 36 and a celebratory Magazine cover are both very likely. Anything else? Artworks 5 maybe?

110

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Just realised that as of yesterday, we have know about real Ciel as fact, for NINE YEARS!! And I don't know how to feel about that. In Two more chapters, he will have been around for 100 chapters.

110

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Really hyped for this. My only hope is that Richard Armitage is utilised better here than he has been. He's great as Rassilon so far, but we've not had that much of him. He's also a very popular actor, so getting him must be quite hard. But if he's barely used, then is there really any point?

001

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Although as it's literally one shot of the others, I'm not sure if there's really a need to give them all separate pages, when one that covers all should suffice.

110

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 18/06/2026

Unnamed exorcist works, although there's quite a few of those in this chapter.

"Mary's Story" by Jonathan Morris. Love the atmosphere in this one. All the characters are well played and written. More complex than the others, but only as far as the runtime allows. I'm glad that this story is continued in further stories, unlike the previous instalments in this release. 8/10.

110

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

"Izzy's Story" by Alan Barnes. I've always really liked Izzy in the comics, but she's so annoying and pretty unlikeable here. The story itself is fine, though nothing particularly special. 6/10.

100

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

"Fitz's Story" by Stephen Cole. A pretty modern and relevant concept, with unauthorised use of peoples likenesses and how they can be manipulated. Fitz is quite interesting as a companion and it's a shame that we've not had more of him on Audio, though there's plenty of books to explore. 7.5/10.

100

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

"Benny's Story" by Lance Parkin. By nature of being quite short, it has quite a simple plot and doesn't feel like too much is going on. I think the little it's able to do, it does quite well. Nice to hear Benny and Eight together, it's certainly a combination I'd like to hear more from. 7/10.

Doctor Who (1996) has never looked nor sounded so good. I think for the most part the acting is pretty good, with only one or two questionable moments. The set design is still some of, if not THE best the show has ever had. The music is great and the visuals were stunning then and are more so now.

Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor in the TARDIS from the 1996 "TV Movie".

To Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Eighth Doctor (my favourite Doctor) I'm going to be Rewatching/ Relistening to all the 8th Doctor stories in chronological order (as best as I can). My only condition is that Paul McGann himself has to be in them (so no audiobooks for short trips for now.

I know it's already quite the undertaking and I'm really looking forward to it, but I do wonder if a 4k upscale of Night of the Doctor is on the cards for this release.

000

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

I had a dream about this back in January (before anything about it had been announced). I dreamt that Daphne Ashbrook played Friend (which has now been confirmed). If Eric Roberts shows up at the end as the Uncharted Universe's Doctor (Yes, DOCTOR, not MASTER) I will be very creeped out.

000

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

Probably my favourite 5th Doctor story ever, certainly on audio. Congrats to everyone who worked on it, so deserved.

000

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

So excited for this one. It's been an eternity. Hopefully Rassilon is used a bit more in this one, as he's very much been in the background, even the stories he physically been present in. Regardless of what happens, is just so nice to have this series back again. And long may it continue!

110

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 16/04/2026

"Many years later..." So is that before Lucie but after Charley and C'rizz "many years later" or after Liv and Helen but before the Time War kicks off "many years later"?

001

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 16/04/2026

Probably just a break, as this is a miniseries. Hopefully they will return next year. Though it would be nice is the sets weren't so late in the year nor that close together, as it would mean we'd have a smaller gap between sets. Though Eight fans are fed in a lot in other places, so can't complain.

This sounds great. Once we get Gallifrey War Room 3 news, I'll have run out of things to wish for (almost)!

000

OpenTheWatch @openthewatch.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

This looks fantastic and I'm sure it will be. This range has become one of my favourites in recent years. All I ask is that it doesn't end with a character vanishing and whoever's left has to go after them. The last three volumes have ended that way in one form or another and it's getting a bit old.
