Europe’s sustainable procurement ambition is real. The measurement is lagging. A lot of reporting can show what was tagged “green.” It’s harder to show what was bought, how consistently, and whether outcomes changed. We worked with @iisd.org on why the data to fix this already exists.

A public contract should be an opportunity, not a cashflow trap. In Colombia, the CREDERE pilot used open contracting data to connect SMEs that won contracts with lenders offering credit or contract-backed financing. It also surfaced the limits that still lock firms out.
