today marks a whopper of an anniversary as we released the very first episode of Retronauts on October 4, 2006. Twenty years of podcasts! Thank you for listening for two entire decades. What's your favorite episode or Retronauts memory?

a screengrab of 1up.com listing Retronauts Episode 1: 10/4/2006
(the topic was Final Fantasy III and its recent port to the Nintendo DS)

jojo is such a great show, only place where you can find a guy who got bit by a venomous lizard while taking a crap and while cutting himself to drain the venom casually mentions that he invented the idea of being choked during sex

Am I mistaken or is there only one non-North American/European show on this list. Absolutely wild to make a list like this and not include anime, Naruto is bigger than almost anything on this list. Jojo clears almost everything I’ve seen off this list.

this game rewrote my brain chemistry. I often think or say “finally, a boss fight” or “like I give a shit” or “if you weren’t a demon, we coulda been friends.” complete nonsense brainrot story and hilarious gameplay. I would love a good port to play it again.

maybe this is recency/my own personal bias, but it feels like the new Metroid and Kirby announcements sucked all of the air out of the room re: the Ocarina remake. It felt odd when I realized I’ve only seen one Zelda post today but a bunch of Samus and Kirby

get your chuck wending ass back to orc city, you fucking idiots. all the dark money in the world and this is the best writing you can offer

But you know what? They can suck it.
Because the DSA-by which I mean the official organ that controls the infrastructure of the Democratic Socialists of America-is forking nuts. So nuts that if you told me that the DSA was a false flag operation run by the Heritage Foundation in order to discredit the Democratic party, it would make sense.

Individual DSA politicians might be closet normies (like Mamdani) but the organization itself? Guys, buckle up. We're going on a tour of crazy.
