A preview of a journal spread. The left page takes on a standard journaling look with various papers, stickers, etc. of predominantly black, pink, purple and white, the theming being very floral. The right page, lined with tabs to frame and hold a photo, has the work in progress from the other day on display.

The original work in progress alt text:
A work in progress depicting Kuja (Final Fantasy IX) and Sal (an OC from Anthology of Anon, a personal series of mine) from Angels of Music (a Phantom of the Opera-inspired AU) sharing a tender moment on a snowy night. Donning his signature mantle as le Comte d'Écarlate, Kuja shares this article of clothing with Sal, its left side draped over her left shoulder, as he places a lingering kiss upon her cheek. His fingers framing her chin, his right hand seems to tilt her face just a little closer to him. Sal accepts him, smiling gently.
More at eleven!

I cannot stress enough: the AI bubble has already popped it is just being kept on life support by corporations trying to squeeze even a dollar more out of their shit investment, and tech bros doing the same before abandoning their shit company startups. keep hating on AI, you're winning

I just saw someone claim that Heated Rivalry, the book, published in 2019, had
"obvious ChatGPT red flags". And so l have crawled out of my deadline cave to say this to people who were apparently just born yesterday:
Babes. Sweethearts. Lights of my increasingly dim patience. ChatGPT learned to write by eating romance novels like a feral raccoon in a dumpster.

Since #MerMay is technically ending on a #Sinday and I'm still about giving even more dumb censorship policies a big ol' 🖕 one of these, here's a little mer-spicy of yesteryear to close with. 🌹🐠 #ffix #kuja #oc #ocxcanon #mermaid #merman #wip #🌌🌹💜

An old, abandoned work in progress featuring some tender, but spicy merfolk action between a merfolk rendition of Kuja (Final Fantasy IX) and Sal (an OC from a personal story known as Anthology of Anon.) The piece depicts these two in a large, clawfoot tub overflowing with water, blanketed by rose petals of various colors. Kuja is placed on his back, leaning against the interior side of the tub, his arms wrapped around Sal as she lays atop him, clinging to him, sexual conduct implied, but not clearly shown. Their tales are intertwined, framed by the light of the moon peering in from the open window, a moody nightscape set beyond it.

I know he doesn't look the part, but Wagnas is actually part of the Merfae #MerMay program now too! 🦋 (Also, no, I don't know what he wears yet, so he's just casually birthday suiting it up, for now. It's fine.) #conceptart #romancingsaga #wagnas #wip

Some more merfae concept art featuring @vervainvanity.bsky.social's rendition of Wagnas from Romancing SaGa II. He is depicted as a fantastical critter known as a "merfae," a type of fae that is capable of going aquatic. While appearing human in face, body and stature, his arms and legs are covered with koi-like scales and he bears a tail of similar design. Lining his tail, his wrists and his ankles are monarch butterfly-like fins/appendages. On his back is a large pair of fin-like wings appearing like monarch butterfly wings. A monarch butterfly is perched upon his hand while smaller green and white glowing butterflies hover around him. Wagnas himself has pale skin, silvery eyes and long black, wavy hair.

A #MerMay #WIP for today, featuring merfae Sally. 🤍 #oc #ocsky 🌠

A work in progress featuring an OC of mine known as Sal, a woman with long brown hair, green eyes and pale skin. Wearing a white dress with seashell-inspired shaping at its bust area, she is placed in a more withdrawn pose with her arms around her legs, her knees tucking into her as she gazes at/around the perspective of the viewer. As a "merfae" (merfolk x fae sort of mix,) there is some color modification present on the underside of her hair and her extremities (arms and legs.) In addition, she has long, elegant fin-like wings, long fins in place of human ears, a slender tail with delicate fins draped from its end and even longer jellyfish-like tentacles extending from her hair, just below/behind her ear fins.

I know it's early, but still... Some funky, fae-y #MerMay design exploration.~ #conceptart #mermaid #fairy #fae

A work in progress of some concept art depicting a merfolk design (of sorts.) Exploring an aquatic fae sort of design, here. The character depicted has no identity and simply serves as a model; she has a medium skin tone with light blue hair, mostly light blue scales (with some variation between cyan and purple) and pink fins (with some variation in color intensity as well as hue between purple and warm silver.) The character is placed in a vaguely aquatic blue background with some light color and tone variation.
