Hate to rant on social media but my first attempt at working outside of London has immediately collapsed on day one thanks to the worst train service imaginable. Privatised and broken services built for shareholder profits mean the UK is fundamentally not set up to handle a mobile workforce.

I love the new Evri locker pickup process. They basically deliver it whenever they feel like it, then you have a strict 48 hour window to collect or it's back to sender, also whenever they feel like it. Just don't at any point ask to speak to a person in this process, that's completely forbidden.

8 years ago I got so fed up of the constantly terrible service and massive delays on @gwr.com trains I bought a car. I decided to chance it this weekend for a 90 minute journey. That journey is currently indefinitely delayed at Didcot due to no driver (?). Unacceptable for £80.
