I get where it comes from. "loud mouth, quiet game" is a confusing combo. and if a player is *truly* great teams will usually keep him, no matter his attitude. this is the exception. those Bulls and those Wolves and those Sixers and, yes, these Heat were all stupid. the basketball games tell you so

it's clear what changed: the STAR that the Heat signed in 2019, who dragged them to two Finals and an East Finals in a four-year span, missed the '24 playoffs due to injury and got traded. and these Heat, for all the Spo and Riley and Bam and Culture™️, were a toothless nothing team in his absence

70 total games would be preferable, but they won't cut games and never will. this lessens the load on each guy and at least starts to re-establish credibility with paying customers. it's not perfect but you can't tell me it wouldn't be better

NBA fix: sched stays at 82 but each individual player can only play in 70 of them. teams announce before the season which games they're planning on sitting their stars in (all home games); if ticket prices sink, they sink, we're honest brokers now. 55-game minimum for All-NBA/awards. mandated rest!
