Made this in ceramics on Friday. It's supposed to be a cat covered in a sheet, dressed as a ghost. I did my best to get it as smooth as possible. The good news is that after it's fired, I can use sandpaper to sand any rough spots. (Cont.)

Finally started the injection on Tuesday. I was going to start last month, but a few things came up. I've only had one 1mg dose so far, so I don't really feel anything yet. Looking forward to my appetite quieting down.

One of this morning's projects: I brought the embroidery punch needling kit home from my art program so I could try it out with my embroidery supplies at home. From what I've seen, embroidery punch needling is not much different than yarn punch needling, it's just smaller. (Cont.)

Don't think I've posted this pic yet. Baby has barely any hunting skills. This pic is from last week. Squirrels occasionally come to the back door to steal cat food, sometimes while Baby watches. She sees them, and they does slightly interest her, but not enough to chase them. (Cont.)

Went to Living Spaces with my Mom yesterday. She's been looking around for a lift chair. We think we found one. It's not this one, although it is La-Z-Boy like this. Excellent service. My Mom asked about a more expensive model of a different brand she had seen online. (Cont.)

Watching "South Park". Never seen this episode, but looked up when they mentioned ROSS. I worked there several years ago. The employee discounts were great. And twice a year, there were double discount days. If you searched really well, you could get your favorite stuff at super low prices.

Worked in ceramics on Friday. Went in with an idea of making a mouse on cheese. Turned out pretty cute. It's the smoothest thing I've made so far. I've been working on techniques. After something is fired, you *can* sand it, but I don't want to rely on that.

I'm dealing with this medication issue right now. I had this substitution earlier this year for 1 mo., and it didn't feel quite right, but then went back to the usual orange Adderall. On August 8th, I was given this substitution again. This time, I looked up the reviews. (Cont.)

Going to start getting reacquainted with my old sewing machine. I keep it at my parents' house. The art program I go to has a sewing/textiles studio, but I haven't done much there yet. I haven't even used a sewing machine in nearly 20 years. I love sewing, though.

Good morning from Herman. He slept on the patio all night. My Mom and I always think it's kinda funny how he doesn't go anywhere. It's partly why we assume he must be an older cat. We've been assuming that, in his older years, he's prioritized food and safety. ❤️

🦎Lizard watch🦎: I see lizards almost every day at the art program I go to, so I'm going to start a lizard thread. Saw these two on Tuesday. The one in the second picture had a blue belly. Looked it up, and it's a Western fence lizard.

My Mom asked if I needed more tank tops, so I've been texting her things I've found. She has a bad knee right now, so we haven't been able to get out much. I think it's cute how she's not great with technology, but she manages to find good deals and teaches me to do the same.

Every damn summer, I forget how badly the heat mixes with mental illnesses. I've been trying to drink more water because a lot of mental health meds can be dehydrating. They can also make you feel more hot. It's a sensory nightmare.

In health news: I start the Zepbound injection on Monday. Ran out of the Wegovy pill sample bottle two weeks ago, so my docs and I made a push to get approved for an injectable. Looking forward to starting. Been depressed and upset about weight gain after insurance stopped covering Ozempic. (Cont.)

Brought my pencils and drawing home from art to work on. Made progress yesterday on fixing the headboard. The fixes are a bit wonky, but I'm doing my best. Pencil drawing and being a perfectionist don't mix well. It's the erasing thing.

Waiting for my bus to art. One of my art mentors brought special supplies from her own home yesterday for me to try. I was so psyched. Some of the needles are adjustable, which is pretty much what the name suggests. They adjust for different lengths. Examples in next post...

In health news: I have my follow-up breast ultrasound appointment tomorrow. The biopsy was in January. Results were benign/normal, but they schedule follow-ups to recheck everything. I also had blood drawn at the time of the biopsy so they could do genetic testing. (Cont.)
