Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

An uneducated philosopher with a passion for the potential of an intentionally new religion grounded in the pursuit of truth. Knowing truth cannot always be found. Yet, it can always be sought.

Science vs belief-system is a dialectic meant to separate your own truth observing facilities. 1 has always naturally lead to the other. Belief leads to science. What we have instead, a kind of appeal-to-authority where unfortunately the authority is not interested in the truth more than other aims

The magic isn’t in giving the answer. The magic is being able to illicit the question. Which my on the nose approach fails at

Thinking on my own beliefs what filters give the universe an appearance that isn’t perfectly accurate?

The problem boils down to“who is allowed to decide” which seems like an eternal question. To me it’s best left to Congress and we choose Congress. In practice we don’t decide, yet gamifying the process further would guarantee that we don’t. Some problems are best unsolved/ worked on live infinitely

War is not typically thought of as murder. So to ignore war as defined by the secular institutions of our time and blame it on Christian’s is both accurate and not.

America does feed the poor. Of course the larger point is still valid which is; Christian’s seem to have a politics against this. But America does feed the poor.

We are all well aware of what’s wrong with modern religions. But what’s going right with them? Bonus: what came first? The baby or the bath water?
