So, Anymaker is in early access. As in, it was just released a few days ago, but the building tools are extremely good and surprisingly simple to figure out. I think I might get even more playtime in this than I did with Stormworks. Same devs btw. Now, the zombie survival aspect isn't good yet. 🤞

After eating snacks every hour for 6 days while cycling, I've been getting hungry pretty often. My stomach must've stretched out a bit. I'm slowly reducing my diet back to normal. That's got me thinking about the same scenario, except you keep the eating habit instead. Get big. 😳

I've come to realize that the human body has evolved mostly for leg endurance. Walking, hiking, running, even cycling. That's why even people over 70 can do insane distances every day. That's where our peak fitness potential lies. You can feel it once you've been on the move for a bit.

Now, 280km in, my trip, unfortunately, has come to an end. My knee has given up, and I can't do an upstroke of pedaling any longer without striking pain. I'm fine, I can walk, but that's all I've got for this trip. It was hard and fun, but it was also sucked sometimes. I'm glad I did it.

Made my first campfire last Thursday and cooked some Uncle Ben's and Campbell's Chunky Soup. I now know I didn't do it right. The logs took a long time to actually start burning cause I threw them on immediately, and they were still a bit wet, but it worked eventually.

I wanted a drone for surveying the immediate ground around me. I realized I didn't want to fly it around. It could be tethered. Then, why even use a drone? Save power... why not a balloon? Helium isn't super accessible remotely... so, hot air. Seems like a fire hazard. A solar balloon or a kite.

Got a lot of progress on my charge controller. It's based on a few designs I saw. I made it modular for easy repairability. If I replace the first 5A current sensor with a 10A one, it would be capable of running a 96W (12V 8A) solar panel. It has two 4A outputs. One is converted to 5V 3A USB.

Been watching some videos about Marvel hero designs. It's interesting how simple the comic versions are, and then how overly complex, impractical, and unrealistically stitched a lot of the MCU versions are. I personally like more grounded, practical looks that could be made with moderate skill.

Some photos from my trip yesterday. I cycled more than 80km(50 miles) and was out for about 10 hours. I got turned around a lot on the provincial park trails. Dead ends and trails that weren't on the maps.

Ya know, small portable CRT screens don't draw as much power as you might think... you could make it bigger the old way and use a magnifying lens. Why give a shit about image quality when you can have something cool? In a dual-monitor setup, you only really need one good monitor.
