I've been culturing intact explants of embryonic mouse basal forebrain. It's a pretty cool way to model interactions between the different BFN populations in vitro, both in physiology and disease, specially in Alzheimer's where these neurons are particularly vulnerable. [Confocal— DAPI+Phalloidin]
