I have _many_ more, but I'm still pondering what to do with them all...

I rarely brag about getting all achievements on games (partly because I don't care, partly because I can't, partly because I don't play that many games) but this one really felt rewarding. Play Rhythm Doctor. Great game in a simple & cute package.
Screenshot of Steam showing the library details of Rhythm Doctor. Play time is visible (50.8 hours), as well as information on achievements. All achievements were unlocked, and the last one was "Perfect Finale", unlocked today.

I've been told that real engineers solve problems by methodically applying theoretical knowledge, harnessing their math knowledge and carefully handling the subtleties of the real world in their calculations. Well whatever, I got HTML sliders and a simulated circuit :D
A vertically split workspace. On the left, a running simulation of an electrical circuit. On the right, a web form with two sliders labeled "x" and "y", and some formulas that correspond to the different resistor configurations of the previous circuit.

The circuit on the left models a USB-C port where both sides can be set to sink or source with switches, and with different resistors that can be toggled with even more switches.

A mi que haya 4x más ancho de banda de memoria me gusta, 25 GB/s era sencillamente ridículo en los tiempos que corren. Detalle tonto que me hace gracia: la PS2 tiene casi *el doble* de ancho de banda que la Switch

Got Phase Modulation synthesis working on my FPGA! I could play a very trippy audio, but instead I'm using the following FFT to mark this milestone. I have the pieces to also do PSG, playing PCM samples and mixing signals together, probably the 3 pillars of whatever audio HW I put into my project.

Although IMO this is the peak storage format (the physical enclosure). Small enough for modern tastes, but big enough to remain a manipulable object (unlike those fiddly microSD cards we have now). Actually, the fact it's as wide and a bit larger than a thumb may be the reason why I feel like that

My setup is officially complete!
A quite packed setup including a 4K monitor (left), a 1080p BenQ Zowie XL2546K display (center, the main one), a Sony PVM 9045QM CRT (squished below those two) and a Sony CPD-2000ES CRT (right).

The main screen sits on top of a Thomson VPH 7090 multistandard VCR alongside an Xbox Series X controller and a PS1 (+ its DualShock controller).

On the desk, there is a Sony Walkman WM-D6C, a Nuphy Air75 keyboard, a Logitech G502 Lightspeed mouse and Sony PS1 Mouse (connected to an FPGA out of sight).

Standing against the right wall, there is a Nektar Impact LX81+ MIDI keyboard, as well as a few other uninteresting things.

Finally, a few uninteresting things: a blue glass, a cup with some pens and pencils inside and a can of Coke I have yet to drink :)

I'm silent here, but I keep working in the shadows. The most notable addition? PCM audio support. Turns out ΣΔ is super easy to code! Also: slightly increased performance & Fmax, mandatory M+U mode CSRs implemented, ecall/ebreak/interrupts... Also progressing through @pikuma.com's 3D course :)

✅ Branch prediction! It uses a BTB (Branch Target Buffer) and 2-bit saturating counters. ⬅️ ❌ Left: mispredicted branch takes 5 cycles. ➡️ ✅ Right: predicted branch takes just 2 cycles. Now memset _flies_, reaching 300 MB/s (compared to the ridiculous 6 MB/s my old crappy design reached)

Definitely RGB444 is noticeably hideous, but RGB555 is plenty enough and not _that_ far away from RGB666 or even RGB888. Judge by yourself:

On a more positive note, I'm _almost_ there, with basic functionality almost covered already, being able to rasterize a tri in SW. It's missing neat stuff like a BTB or caches, but I'm very happy with the current design (IF/MEM FIFOs, parallel MEM/×/÷ units, partial forwarding, fairly high Fmax...)

I recall @thephd.dev saying something along the lines of "we want to make C23 the standard C99 people switch to" and not giving it too much thought. Well, today I tried some ideas. All you see here is now possible, and it's _amazing_. What can I say? Well, thanks for bringing C to the 21st century
// Screenshot of some C code

#include <stdio.h>

typedef enum: char {
	Meters,
	Seconds,
	Volts,
} Unit;

	int β;
} foo(void)
{
	typeof(foo()) r;

	r.unit = Meters;
	r.α = 2'000'000;
	r.β = 0b1010;

	return r;
}

int
main(void)
{
	auto r = foo();
	char *unit = "?";

	switch (r.unit) {
		case Meters:  unit = "m"; break;
		case Seconds: unit = "s"; break;
		case Volts:   unit = "V"; break;

	printf("Hello! result=%d %s\n", r.α + r.β, unit);
