A laptop that serves your app is a demo. It has not chosen a home. Generation made the first half cheap. Next you choose what you refuse to own: a platform your users already live in, one small machine, or a runtime you rent. Easy to reach is not where the users are. You still own the incident […]

In about a week, Cursor Projects, the OpenAI Agents API, and Claude Code Projects all shipped the same shape: a coordinator, parallel workers, shared memory, durable cloud sessions. That is a category, not three coincidences. It is also still a product week. “Thousands of subagents” and merge-rate charts are marketing. Most teams I see still live in one or two agents, a PR, a review, and a flaky CI. The scarce job did not become “run a fleet.” It is still the bar in Essential Skills When Generation Is Cheap: own output you did not type, catch working-but-wrong, decide where generation does not belong. A coordinator amplifies whoever already fails or succeeds at that.

Obsidian is optional. The Git Markdown repo is the system. Open that folder as the vault. Backlinks and the graph help you see a repeat in inbox/. They are not a second archive. If git status is clean and Tuesday’s note is missing, it landed in the wrong folder. g.omid.dev/DPToNGd […]

The skill list did not get a new bubble called AI. The senior job changed: you own output you did not type, you review at a higher altitude, and you decide where generation does not belong. A first draft used to cost enough that it carried some thought. Now fluent, compiling code is the cheap […]

I interview frontend candidates for other companies. When I hire badly for a partner, they keep the person and I keep the reputation. The interview is the last expensive sample. Translate the real need in intake, then screen against that — not against the job post. Interviewing well is a […]

One AI chat is not a research workspace. A conversation is a scratchpad. Research needs a place that can stay messy, contradictory, and duplicated — then get organized later. Git + Markdown. Inbox first. Point the model at the files, not the scrollback. g.omid.dev/cwhrarJ #AI […]

An old RTS ran hot on HDMI and quiet on the laptop panel. The NVIDIA driver was fine. On this Intel Arc + RTX 3050 laptop, native HDMI is wired to NVIDIA. As long as that monitor is connected, the dGPU stays in the display path — even when Intel is doing all the drawing. A USB-C/TB4 hub moved […]

Have influence without becoming the backdoor. Cross-team trust is one of the strongest assets a senior developer can build. The work is to keep that influence without carrying unofficial ownership. A scout extends the team's line of sight and returns with information. A shadow owner returns […]

Channel the scout. Keep the seat. A team lead keeps the seat by making the scout official: shared intake, visible commitments, and discovery that stays open. Authority and influence are different assets. Connect them with a working agreement that applies to every senior. Talk yes. Commit […]

When the best communicator becomes the backdoor. On a small team, the senior who talks to other teams is often the most valuable person in the room. They bring back feedback a ticket queue misses. That work is an asset. It needs a visible path for commitments, priority, and authority so […]

If your AUR packages stopped updating last week: not a yay bug. As of Aug 1, Arch disabled all AUR pushes while handling a third supply-chain attack wave ("Atomic Arch") — attackers adopting orphaned packages and rewriting PKGBUILDs. What's frozen vs still works, timeline, and a practical […]

Default Angular auth for years: /login → JWT → localStorage → Bearer interceptor → route guards. It ships. It demos well. And it trains teams to treat the browser as a safe vault for long-lived credentials. It is not. If JS can read your access token, so can XSS. Prefer OIDC with a BFF […]

PWAs sell reliability: installable shells, offline reads, background sync. Angular’s service worker makes that easy. Security doesn’t get the same one-liner. A long-lived cache can sit between an attacker and private data if you treat “offline” as “store everything.” Path: HTTPS + tight SW […]

Angular apps are rarely “just Angular.” They sit on the CLI, third-party libs, often Nx — and a lockfile that quietly doubles every quarter. Risk lives in transitive packages nobody reviewed last sprint. Turn “scan regularly” into a pipeline: generate an SBOM, npm audit + ng update --dry-run […]

Angular sanitizes template bindings. XSS still shows up through supply-chain scripts, sanitizer edge cases, and “temporary” bypasses. CSP is the browser seatbelt — but many write-ups skip Angular specifics: runtime-injected styles, autoCsp / ngCspNonce, and the urge to add unsafe-inline so the […]

Client-side does not mean security-free. A JS framework is part of the security boundary: it sanitizes content, attaches tokens, and (with SSR) isolates requests. Three recent Angular CVEs — SSR leakage, XSRF token exposure, and stored XSS — show why framework security updates matter even when […]
