I genuinely liked MMA back around 2005-2010. I think it helped that I was hanging around a couple guys that were former fighters and indie pro-wrestlers. Very chill guys to hang out with, they looked at combat sports in all forms as an adventure to be had, not some weird macho bullshit.

It was Jaws, on tv, around 1980 or 81, I was 4 or 5. I am absolutely, positively terrified of sharks, white sharks and the other “man-eaters” to be precise. It’s bad enough, I sometimes have trouble taking a shower or being in a swimming pool. Especially the deeper parts. Typing this scared me.
